About Elysium Echoes Suiteáil Ealaíne Comhaimseartha Inaistrithe
Is suiteáil ealaíne rothlach í Elysium Echoes a dhéanann iniúchadh ar an gcaidreamh idir athrú comhshaoil agus mharthanas an duine. Tá an saothar déanta as roisín, miotal agus aicrileach, le píosaí clóbhuailte tríthoiseach agus mótar rothlach, agus tomhaiseann sé 45 faoi 45 faoi 50 ceintiméadar. Léiríonn trí chuid foirmeacha daonna, idirthréimhseacha agus iar-dhaonna. Cuireann an rothlú leanúnach isteach ar na céimeanna seo agus athchomhcheanglaíonn sé iad chun aistrithe éabhlóideacha a chur in iúl. Tugann an tsuiteáil cuireadh do mhachnamh ar an teicneolaíocht, ar an éiceolaíocht agus ar thodhchaí an chine dhaonna.

- Unique Properties
- Elysium Echoes explores the complex relationship between environmental change and human survival in a post-humanist era. It examines how humanity's evolving bond with the environment is influenced by the balance between technological progress and ecological sustainability.

- Design Challenge
- Elysium Echoes deconstructs the complex bond between humans and nature, prompting reflection on technological progress and its impact on life and evolution. As humanity's influence grows, a crucial question arises: should we reshape nature in the name of technology? Though the "post-human era" remains uncertain, it echoes a warning—our pursuit to replace the Creator may not unfold as envisioned.
- Research
- This research uses a speculative, practice-led approach to explore how technological progress reshapes humanity’s relationship with nature in the Anthropocene. Grounded in post-humanist theory, it critiques ethical ambiguities of ecological intervention and envisions alternative evolutionary paths. Through immersive installation art, kinetic prototyping, and participatory observation, a rotating structure (human/transitional/post-human) simulates evolutionary disruption. Data from 87 interviews, audience analytics, and impact simulations reveal a tension between techno-optimism and ecological humility, with 73% reconsidering humanity’s stewardship. The work advocates for ethical, interdisciplinary governance and positions design as a mediator between science and societal values.
- Inspiration
- In the post-human era, I explore how shifting environments and productivity levels shape human gene selection. Technological progress aids adaptation, yet sudden ecological upheaval risks collapsing our systems, regressing productivity and forcing genetic adaptation to dominate survival. Here, mutation emerges as life’s most reliable tool.
- Project Duration
- London Design Week 14–21 September 2024
Dutch Design Week 19–27 October 2024 - Operation Flow
- This dynamic installation explores biodiversity and evolution in the transition from humans to post-humans. Comprising three parts—human, transitional forms, and post-human—it rotates continuously, disrupting and recombining stages to simulate evolutionary shifts and new species. The work challenges biological boundaries and provokes thought on evolution, technology, and humanity’s future.
