About E Yes Primary Function: Bréagán Trénála don Amblyopia

E Yes áis oiliúna atá bunaithe ar chluiche agus atá deartha chun cabhrú le hamblyopia a cheartú i leanaí. Treoraíonn teaglamaí modúlacha na leanaí trí chleachtaí súmála amhairc, oiliúint mhatáin súl agus idirdhealú datha. Oibríonn na lionsaí ar dhá thaobh an mhodúil teileascóip le trédhearcáin réaltachta breisithe, ionas gur féidir le leanaí an timpeallacht mórthimpeall a fhiosrú gan chumhacht leictreach. Trí fhócas a aistriú idir rudaí gar agus i bhfad i gcéin, cleachtaítear lionsa na súl agus an matán ciliach. Ligeann painéal tástála amhairc do sheiceálacha rialta, ionas gur féidir athruithe ar an radharc a rianú go luath. Tá an corp déanta as polaprópailéin.

Unique Properties
E yes is a game-based aid to correct children's amblyopia through exploration and training. Various modular combinations encourage amblyopic children to perform visual zoom, dedicated eye muscle exercise, and color discrimination. The lens on both sides of the telescope work with AR transparencies for children to imagine and explore. The lens in the eye and the ciliary muscle is exercised when the eye switches between near and far objects, also can take a vision test with a different lens.

Production Technology
E yes uses PP (Polypropylene) Plastic Injection Moulding as a means of production and is suitable for making children's toys due to its non-toxic and high temperature resistance properties.
Design Challenge
In order to make the product practical, we have made many experimental models, the experimental model is made by 3D printing, the children's ergonomics were considered, adjusted to fit the size of the child's hand and the distance between the eyes, and the planning of a children's play test was planned, and the details of the product's actual use were continuously improved.
Research
Training treatments to improve vision are selected according to the type of amblyopia in the child, such as eye patching, CAM vision stimulator, flip mirror, and dedicated eye exercise. These training treatments mainly address strabismic amblyopia and refractive amblyopia and are currently the most common treatments for amblyopic children.
Existing amblyopia treatments are not child-friendly, prone to problems such as danger, inconvenience of going out, and the training process is unattractive to children.
Inspiration
Children's amblyopia is a growing problem, and due to the rise of electronics and technology, there are many children around us who need vision therapy from an earlier age.
At least 12 million children suffer from amblyopia worldwide. Amblyopia is a problem caused by poorly developed visual areas of the brain, and the prime time for amblyopia treatment is before the age of eight.
Project Duration
The project began construction in May 2020, completed product validation in December 2020, and received the International Design Award Silver Award in February 2021.
Operation Flow
Mode A
The small ball rolls in the maze, and the child's eyes will automatically follow and focus. It can also be combined with color training, zoom training and other modules.
Mode B
The AR transparencies do not require electric power and allow children to explore the environment while training their eyes to change the focal length.
Mode C
Parents can use the vision test panel and guide children to rotate the module. Regular testing tracks changes in children's vision and detects problems for early treatment.
