About Malmo Deasc Ilchodach

Is deasc ilchodach í Malmo a dhear le haghaidh leanaí agus daoine fásta araon. Is éard atá sa bhonn ná fráma le seilf naisc a thacaíonn le barr boird ag airde linbh nó ag airde duine fásta. Sínítear barr an bhoird ag an tosach agus ar na taobhanna, ionas gur féidir leis an deasc seasamh in aghaidh balla le radaitheoir nó os comhair fuinneoige. Tá poll do cháblaí curtha ar fáil ar an dromchla. Coinníonn seilf 150 mm ar airde leabhair nó printéir beag, agus is féidir aonaid tarraiceáin a chur leis. Tá Malmo déanta as fuinseog sholadach agus veinír fuinseoige, críochnaithe le hola agus céir ar an bhfráma agus le cruan ar bharr an bhoird.

Production Technology: The Malmo table is made from high strength ash wood. For the frame we use Saicos oil with wax, which enhances the naturalness of the wood. The tabletop, shelf and chest of drawers are covered with Sayerlack enamel. The texture is soft, non-fading and durable. The drawers are equipped with hidden Blum Bluemotion full extension slides.
Design Challenge: The most difficult part, but also the most interesting, was the process of fine-tuning the frame parts to find a balance between aesthetic lightness and functionality. It was also exciting to work with the ergonomics of the connecting shelf under the tabletop - its height and shape.
Research: The design of the Malmo table makes it possible to show boundless imagination at any age. It’s overcame the fixed position of the table both in function and in appearance, transforming from a children's desk for creativity into a standard desk.
Durable, versatile, multifunctional Malmo table is made of noble solid wood and ash veneer, wood that is valued for its strength qualities - it’s very dense and hard. The table is universal, it can be either a desk for the office, or a simple light desk that decorates the interior of the living or children room.
Inspiration: Designing the Malmo table, our main inspiration was to develop something focused on both functionality and aesthetics. We wanted to offer a solution that could expand the variability of users managing its structure with the help of useful functions, such as height and filling with drawers of their own choice. Thus, the table becomes a long-term investment in the interior, which corresponds to the principles of sustainability.
The design of the Malmo desk is inspired by the clean lines of Scandinavian furniture from the 1950s and 1960s. It is designed as a desktop with storage space.
Project Duration: This project started in March 2020, and finished in July 2022 in Saint-Petersburg.
Operation Flow: The extends of the countertop on the front and sides allow you to put the table against the wall where the radiator is installed. This solution allows us to place a table even in front of the window.
For additional storage, the table is equipped with a 150 mm high shelf. It is ideal for a small printer or books. And you can also install 1/2 cassette with a drawer or a whole chest of drawers for 3 drawers on it. We have thought of combinations: 3 types of countertop finishes and 7 standard colors of a cassette or chest of drawers. This allows you to assemble a set suitable for any modern interior color scheme.
