About Miorita Togalach Cónaithe

Is togalach cónaithe trí stòr é Miorita atá suidhichte ann an Chisinau. Tha spàsan malairteach air an làr talmhainn, agus tha na dà làr uachdair a' toirt aoigheachd do thrì aonadan àros. Tha àite pàircidh fon talamh suidhichte fon togalach. Tha cruth polygonach eadar-dhealaichte aig gach làr, a bheir coltas cruachte agus tionndaichte don togalach. Tha an aghaidh a' cothlamadh leacan gràinit ceirmeach dorcha le còmhdach fiodha blàth soilleir air siostam adhartach. Tha oiseanan biorach agus taighean-croma a' cruthachadh cruth beòthail taobh a-staigh an t-suidheachaidh bhaile.

Production Technology
The building has a concrete monolithic structure, brick outer walls as well as partition walls. The shape of the building is partially obtained by the additional steel structure used to support the ventilated facade systems.
Design Challenge
Overall Miorita residence is a project that aims to elevate the standarts of living not only functionally but conceptually and aesthetically. It combines technology and design and creates its own urban context, making it the center of attention due to its dynamic design.
Research
The limitations imposed, from local administration, due to the complex morphology of the structure and the design challenges that it poses have influenced the design and made it more organic. A lot of research has been done to choose the right facade material and the convenient structure to create the sharp angles of the window openings.
Inspiration
The lot chosen for the project has a skewed polygonal shape which has inspired the concept of the project. Each level has a unique polygonal shape which makes the building look like a stack of boxes placed on top of each other, rotating and stretching in order to catch the best angles. The sharp angles and the cantilevered terraces make for a dynamic building that integrates into a monotonous urban landscape with an elegant yet daring contrast of form and material.
Project Duration
The project has started in november 2021 in Chisinau, went through approval by local administration, and is currently beggining its construction phase (march 2022).
Operation Flow
The comercial spaces can be accessed directly from the street, while the acces to the residential levels is made from the interior courtyard. The placement of the neighbouring building directly on the edge of the lot has determined the choice to cover the windows that overlook the inner courtyard with shutters made from the same timber which cover the facade for privacy. The inner courtyard, has a buffer role and provides additional visual and sound barriers for the residents of both neighbouring properties.
