About Honey Drop ’ Ann An Solais

Soillseachadh sèimh na meala. Tha an solais seo na nì casg mòr-thubaist a tha cuideachd a’ cur dath ri beatha làitheil. Cuir mil ann an soitheach glainne a tha coltach ri bhith a’ dòrtadh mil agus cuir e air bonn fiodha le LED ath-thagraidh. Ann an èiginn, faodar am mil a chleachdadh mar bhiadh èiginneach, agus faodar am pedestal a chleachdadh mar flashlight. Chan eil an toradh seo gu bhith air a stòradh air falbh airson a chleachdadh a-mhàin ann an èiginn, ach cuideachd gus dath a chuir ri beatha làitheil.

Unique Properties
Gentle light illumination of honey.
This lighting is a disaster prevention item that also adds color to everyday life. Place honey in a glass container that looks like dripping honey and place it on a wooden pedestal with a rechargeable LED. In an emergency, the honey can be used as emergency food, and the pedestal can be used as a flashlight. This product is not to be stored away for use only in emergencies, but also to add color to everyday life.

Production Technology
Glass containers are created by blowing glass. The glass container is filled with honey and corked with a cork. The base is made of wood and has a rechargeable LED inside.
Design Challenge
It was difficult to come up with an idea that would also add color to daily life and yet be a disaster prevention item.
It also took time to form the glass container into a shape that would allow the honey to drip.
Research
We researched what kinds of emergency items are available. As a result, we found that many items are used in emergencies and stored away for daily use.
Therefore, our goal was to design disaster prevention items that would add color to everyday living spaces.
We then learned about the visual, nutritional, and sterilizing properties of honey, and designed a product.
Inspiration
Japan is prone to natural disasters, so disaster prevention items are abundant. However, since most items are used only in times of disaster, I have come up with disaster prevention items that can be used in everyday life.
Honey can be stored for a long time at room temperature, and its high nutrient content makes it a good emergency food. It also has a high sterilizing effect and is effective when applied to wounds. I have developed a honey product that is ideal as a disaster prevention item.
Project Duration
The project started in January 2022 in Japan and finished in December 2022 in Tokyo, and was exhibited in New Norma New Standard3 in November 2022.
Operation Flow
Place honey in a glass container and cover with a cork. Place the glass container on top of the wooden pedestal. Turn on the light with the switch on the wooden pedestal.
