Texto do libro: The Ray é un broche inspirado nun raio de sol que aparece entre as nubes nun día nubrado. A cor base do broche é escura, xa que a peza emprega metal chapado en rodio negro e un diamante negro. As pedras preciosas brillantes combínanse coa base escura para iluminar toda a peza. As perlas achegan un brillo suave, mentres que os diamantes engaden destello xunto ao metal escuro. O broche foi desenvolvido como un modelo dixital tridimensional. The Ray mide 50 por 30 por 17 milímetros.

Unique Properties: The base color of the brooch is dark since it's using black rhodium plated metal and a black diamond, but mixing with a bright gemstones brightens up the entire piece.

Production Technology: The brooch was created in 3D model. The body for the baguette diamonds and the
Design Challenge: The most challenging part of this piece was transforming the dark image into bright object, still containing the dark element.
Research: My research began first by observing the cloudy day and capture the moment of the ray that comes out from the cloud. After I understood the shape and movement of the light, I then researched how to incorporate and design a piece that is fine, and balanced. I researched everything using online resources.
Inspiration: The inspiration of the brooch comes from the ray of sunlight appearing through the clouds on a cloudy day. The luster of the pearls gives and extra soft glow and the sparkle of the diamonds stands out like a ray of sunlight next to dark metal and black diamonds.
Project Duration: The project was designed and completed in June 2022 in Milan, Italy
