- Production Technology
- The design integrates concrete and steel for durability, with arched and domed elements referencing old turkic architecture using lightweight precast concrete and metal framing. The glass facade maximizes natural light, while wood paneling and stone add warmth. A solitary tree at the entrance symbolizes respect for nature, planted in a reinforced integrated planter.
- Design Challenge
- The key challenge was merging historical influences with modern needs. Incorporating arches and a dome within a functional sales office required a careful balance between aesthetic homage and practical use. Additionally, ensuring privacy while maintaining an open and flowing space was a unique design hurdle.
- Research
- The research focused on integrating historic architectural references with contemporary design. Arches and a dome were strategically employed to reflect Old Turkic heritage, while modern materials like concrete and steel were used to balance tradition with simplicity. The use of nature and minimalistic design enhances the showrooms connection to its surroundings.
- Inspiration
- Inspired by Istanbuls rich history, we incorporated Turkic influences with arches and domes as key elements. A lone tree at the entrance fosters a serene connection to nature. The facade blends concrete and steel, balancing tradition with modernity. This design honors the citys past while embracing its evolution, capturing a timeless yet innovative spirit.
- Project Duration
- Located in Istanbuls historic district, Rams City Sales Office began in Jan 2024 and was completed in May 2024.
- Operation Flow
- The open layout facilitates smooth visitor flow, with the central dome drawing attention to the project model. The lone tree at the entrance creates a welcoming transition, while the space maintains an airy openness. Functional areas are discreetly integrated, ensuring privacy without compromising the overall flow.
