Ka Hoʻolālā

E Pili Ana iā Lightwist Kukui Papahele

ʻO Lightwist kahi kukui papahele ikaika me kahi ʻano kinetic geometry structure hou i haku ʻia me 88 pepa Tetrahedrons. Ke hoʻā ʻo ia i ka mālamalama, e wili mālie ʻo ia iā ia iho a hoʻololi i ke ʻano holoʻokoʻa a me he mea lā e hanu ana. Me ka neʻe bionic o Lightwist a me ke kukui mahana, hiki iā ia ke hāʻawi i kahi lewa kūʻokoʻa no nā mea hoʻohana a lawe mai i kahi ʻike nani o ke kukui. Kūkulu ʻia ʻo Lightwist e kahi noiʻi paʻa e pili ana i ka ʻike o nā hale hoʻololi a me ka geometry. Hoʻohana maikaʻi i ka lula a me ka ʻike o ka Kaleidocycle a me nā hale kinetic.

Ka Hoʻomaikai

E Pili Ana i ka A' Design Award Hao

Ua lanakila ka hoʻolālā Lightwist Kukui Papahele i ka A' Design Award Hao, he ʻike hoʻohanohano i hāʻawi ʻia i nā hoʻolālā maikaʻi e hoʻokō ana i nā koi ʻoihana a ʻoihana hana i manaʻo ʻia mai nā mea hoʻokumu i hana maikaʻi ʻia. Hōʻike nā lanakila Hao i ka mākau nui, ka loea kiʻekiʻe, ka ʻike akamai a me ka hiki hana noʻeau o ka poʻe i hana iā lākou. Manaʻo ʻia ʻo ka hoʻolālā Lightwist Kukui Papahele he mea hoʻokumu i mahalo nui ʻia, hoʻohiwahiwa ʻia a aloha ʻia e pono a hou. ʻO kēia hoʻolālā i lanakila i ka A' Design Award Hao e hoʻohui ana i nā hana maikaʻi loa o ka ʻoihana a loaʻa nā ʻano ʻenehana mākaukau i hui pū ʻia me ka ʻike hana a me ka makakoho. Mahalo ʻia ka hoʻolālā Lightwist Kukui Papahele no kona nānā pono a ua hoʻolālā ʻia e hāʻawi i nā hoʻomaikaʻi ola e kōkua ai i ka hana ʻana i ka honua i wahi maikaʻi aku.

Ma Hope o ka Hoʻolālā

ʻEke Nūhou

Nā hōʻoia, nā lālā hui a me nā kikoʻī ʻenehana i hāʻawi ʻia e ka mea hoʻolālā.

Nā ʻAno Kūʻokoʻa
Lightwist is a dynamic floor lamp with a new-type kinetic geometry structure which is composed of 88 paper Tetrahedrons. When it turns light on, it will gradually twist itself and change the entire shape and looks like an alive creature breathing. Along with the bionic movement of Lightwist and the warm lighting, it could provide a distinctive atmosphere for users and bring a charming experience of lighting.

Lightwist is built by a solid research on the knowledge of transformable structures and geometry. Making the good use on the rule and knowledge of Kaleidocycle and kinetic structures is an important start for the best structure of transformable floor lamp design. Besides, the most challenge is to make numerous paper prototypes to find out the new transforming structure.
In addition, making prototypes of a small scale into the final product in a real size is also an difficult section. I have to deal with the materials, mechanical issues, and the software coding of the automatic transformable structure
Noiʻi
Mathematics affects our world and geometry has a huge influence on our daily life. No matter where we are, geometry plays an important role on everyday life and we are surrounded by space and shape of things. Furthermore, the theory of the nature is based on geometry as well. Geometry not only influences the visual appearance of product or spatial understanding but also affects how we works. Exploration of the potential design directions or fields will give inspiration on future design.
Hoʻoulu Manaʻo
I wish to bring a more relaxing indoor atmosphere for user. Lightwist is inspired by the charming kaleidocycle. The main transforming structure is a new kinetic structure which comes out of my numerous prototypes. When turning on the lights, Lightwist will gradually change its shape and seems like the real creature breathing with the warm light. When users come back home, users can follow the speed of the transformation to adjust their speed to have a more comfortable experience of light.
Ka Lōʻihi o ka Papahana
The project started in April 2016 in Taiwan and finished in January 2019 in Taiwan.
Kaʻina Hana
When the light was turn on, Lightwist will gradually change its shape and it looks like an alive creature breathing along with the warm light. People can follow the speed of the transformation to adjust their breathing.

Kūpono ka Hoʻolālā Maikaʻi i ka Hoʻomaikaʻi Nui

ʻO ka A' Design Award he makana hoʻomaikaʻi honua, i hoʻoholo ʻia e nā luna, no ka hoʻolālā maikaʻi. E komo i ka A' Design Award e loaʻa ai ka manawa e ʻike ʻia ai kou hana ma ke ʻano kūpono, a e loaʻa ai ka kaulana, ka hanohano a me ka hoʻolaha no kāu hana. E koho inoa i kāu hana no ka A' Design Award a e hoʻokūkū no ka makana A' Design Prize i makemake nui ʻia.
