Ka Hoʻolālā

E Pili Ana iā Triad Noho

ʻO Triad he noho i hoʻolālā ʻia me ka huahelu huinakolu e hāʻawi i ke kūpaʻa ʻana a hoʻomaʻemaʻe i ka wahi. Hana ʻia mai nā papa metala i wili ʻia a hui pū ʻia me ka wela, he kahua paʻa kona a me kahi noho ʻūmi liʻiliʻi no ka ʻoluʻolu. Hiki māmā ke neʻe ʻia kona kino māmā, a kūpono no nā wahi like ʻole. ʻAʻohe pono e hoʻohuikūlike, ua hoʻolālā ʻia ʻo Triad no nā hale, nā hale kope, a me nā wahi kaʻana like. Hōʻoia kāna hoʻolālā huahelu i ka pono o nā mea kūkulu a mālama ana i kahi ʻano hana pono no ka noho ʻana.

Ka Hoʻomaikai

E Pili Ana i ka A' Design Award Kala

Ua lanakila ka hoʻolālā Triad Noho i ka A' Design Award Kala, he ʻike hoʻohanohano nui loa i hāʻawi ʻia i nā hoʻolālā kiʻekiʻe loa, nani a kupaianaha. He mau hana ʻālohilohi loa a hana noʻeau nui nā lanakila Kala e hōʻike ana i ka loea, ka makakoho a me ka ʻoi aku o ka noʻonoʻo o kā lākou poʻe hoʻolālā. Manaʻo ʻia ʻo ka hoʻolālā Triad Noho he hana kupaianaha, kūlana ʻoi aku, ʻoihana kiʻekiʻe a hou loa. ʻO kēia hoʻolālā i lanakila i ka A' Design Award Kala he mea hoʻokumu kūpono loa, mahalo ʻia e hāʻawi i ka pōmaikaʻi a hoʻoneʻe i nā palena o ka hana noʻeau, ka ʻepekema, ka hoʻolālā a me ka ʻenehana. He mea i ʻeleu ʻia e nā mea he nui ka hoʻolālā Triad Noho e hoʻāla i ka makemake, lawe mai i nā manaʻo maikaʻi a hoʻāla i ka kamahaʻo a me ka mahalo.

Ma Hope o ka Hoʻolālā

The main challenges of this project included optimizing structural strength while minimizing material usage and maintaining the visual and functional harmony of the triangular form. Precision in metal fabrication was also crucial, particularly in CNC bending and welding, to ensure consistent angles. Through multiple prototype iterations and structural testing, the final design achieved a refined, stable, and visually striking form.

This project integrates user experience research with material engineering analysis. The goal was to develop a stool that balances stability, aesthetics, and sustainability. User interviews and ergonomic testing helped determine the optimal seat angle for comfort. The findings confirmed that the triangular geometry significantly enhances load-bearing capacity, while precision metal fabrication ensures long-term durability and efficient production feasibility.
Hoʻoulu Manaʻo
Triad is crafted from bent and welded metal sheets, featuring clean lines and a focus on durability and eco-friendliness. Inspired by the geometric beauty of triangles, the design emphasizes stability and balance, while its minimalist form reflects the need for functional yet elegant solutions in modern living spaces.
Ka Lōʻihi o ka Papahana
The project began in October 2024 in Okinawa, was completed in December 2024.
Kaʻina Hana
Triad is designed for direct use with no assembly required. Its triangular geometry ensures high stability, while its lightweight metal structure allows easy repositioning. The ergonomic seat provides comfortable seating, making it suitable for various settings, including homes, cafés, and public spaces.
