Ka Hoʻolālā

E Pili Ana iā Shi Pā Kī

ʻO Shi kahi pā kī i hoʻolālāʻia no ka hoʻomākaukau ʻana a me ka lawe ʻana i ke kī. Hoʻohui ʻo Shi i kahi pōpō pōhaku kūlohelohe me kahi kumu wai ʻāluminuma. Ua māhele ʻia ka ʻili i kahi wahi pālahalaha a me kahi wahi luawai, me ka ʻokoʻa kiʻekiʻe he 16 mílimika. ʻOiaʻiʻo ka wahi pālahalaha e maloʻo mau ana a mālama i nā mea kī, ʻoiai ka wahi luawai e hōʻiliʻili a hoʻokahe i ka wai i hoʻohana ʻia. Aia ka puka hoʻokahe ma ke kiko haʻahaʻa loa o ka ʻili luawai, no laila e ʻike mau ʻia ka pae wai a hiki ke hoʻokahe ʻia ka pā i ka manawa kūpono. Ua hana ʻia ke pōhaku ma o ke ʻoki kōmpiuka a hoʻopau ʻia ma o ke kāhā one.

Ka Hoʻomaikai

E Pili Ana i ka A' Design Award Keleawe

Ua lanakila ka hoʻolālā Shi Pā Kī i ka A' Design Award Keleawe, he ʻike hoʻohanohano nui loa i hāʻawi ʻia i nā hoʻolālā kūʻokoʻa i ʻike ʻia ma o ka hana noʻeau, ka akamai a me ka makakoho. He mau hana mākaukau a hana noʻeau kupaianaha nā lanakila Keleawe e hōʻoia ana i ka ʻike nui, ka noʻonoʻo a me ka maʻalea o kā lākou poʻe hoʻolālā. Manaʻo ʻia ʻo ka hoʻolālā Shi Pā Kī he mea i mahalo nui ʻia, hoʻohiwahiwa ʻia a aloha ʻia, he ʻoihana a hou loa. ʻO kēia hoʻolālā i lanakila i ka A' Design Award Keleawe e hoʻohui ana i nā hana maikaʻi loa o ka hana noʻeau, ka ʻepekema, ka hoʻolālā a me ka ʻenehana, a maikaʻi no kona nānā ʻana i nā kikoʻī. Hoʻokō maikaʻi ka hoʻolālā Shi Pā Kī i nā pono, hoʻopā i ka makemake, hoʻohiwahiwa i nā manaʻo a huki i ka makemake e ʻike.

Ma Hope o ka Hoʻolālā

Tea tray is usually plane and tea water flows everywhere when using under the condition, which brings inconvenience. The design inspiration comes from bridge, which integrates plane & concave and presents the tension of shape. The concave brings height difference, which not only realizes dry and wet depart, but also can be easy to drain water, while cleverly reminding the state of water storage.

Shi is made of natural stone and aluminum. The natural stone is treated by CNC and water knife cutting molding technology, which surface is realized by sandblasting technology. The aluminum is treated by die drawing and cutting technology, which surface is realized by matte painting.
Pilikia Hoʻolālā
The concave curvature of natural stone plate should not only ensure the high efficiency of drainage, and the realization of modeling, but also satisfy the reminding of water level. Through the virtual simulation and physical model test, the radius of curvature of the concave surface is determined to be 212 mm finally.

The tea tray design belongs to the application research, which object is to guide user behavior through the simplest language form, combining with ways of user interview, focusing group, product usability testing, consumer diary.
Hoʻoulu Manaʻo
Shi is a kind of water storage tea tray, which is made of natural stone and metal (aluminum) water chassis, modeling simple. The disk is designed with drop type through the plane with concave surface, with height difference of 1.6 cm. The plane is used as dry areas, the concave as wet areas, which cleverly realizes tea-making scenarios of dry and wet depart. Besides, for the concave is lower, so we can visually see the tea overflowing from the drain, which prompts the user dumping of tea.
Ka Lōʻihi o ka Papahana
The project was started in xiamen in February 2019, completed in xiamen in September 2019 and exhibited in Shanghai in October 2019.
Kaʻina Hana
The flat part of the tea tray is placed with the tea set and the concave part is the operating area. The height difference between the plane surface and concave surface allows an efficient drainage. When the water reaches three quarters of the tank, the user can visually observe the water level from the lowest point of the concave surface to facilitate the timely dumping.
