About Parachute מדף קיר
פרשוט (Parachute) הוא מדף קיר העשוי מפח מתכת. כאשר מקטע מסוים נמצא בשימוש, לוח המקטע יורד כלפי מטה ונתלה במקומו. הלוח התלוי מחזיק מעיל, מגזין או פריטים דומים ומונע מהם ליפול. פני השטח נושאים פסים צבעוניים המופרדים ברווחים דקים, כך שהמדף מזכיר את המראה הגרפי של מצנח מודרני וניתן לפרשו גם כאמנות קיר. מידותיו של פרשוט הן 790 מ"מ רוחב, 30 מ"מ עומק ו-220 מ"מ גובה. השם מחבר בין הרעיונות של הגנה ונפילה.

With the colored stripes separated by thin spaces, the graphic design is reminiscent of a modern parachute; this theme is transformed, in a recognisable and aesthetically successful manner, into an original shelf design. - Design Challenge

- When listening to Coldplay's first album, it suddenly occurred to me to look up the word "Parachute."
It seems that the name "parachute" comes combining the Italian "parare" (to protect) with the French "chute" (to fall).
I thought that was a rather fine name.
I tried to think of devices that protect against falling.

- The project started in April 2017 in Tokyo and finished in October 2018 in Tokyo, and Yusuke Watanabe was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in April 2018.
