Inspiration: The island where this building is located is said to be the first island created by a deity in Japanese mythology. The deity loved the island and lived there for the last days of its life. The design labo imagined the temple as it might have existed there and the resulting design is a series of graceful arches, with a large staircase in the middle that, metaphorically, leads to heaven. the goal was to create an environment where people can feel the blessings of nature and work safely in cooperation with the residents
Project Duration: the project was completed in April 2022 in Awaji Island, Japan.
