About Hone Txee

Hone txee yog ib qho tsim zoo nkauj uas nyob mus ib txhis thiab txaus nyiam uas tau tswv yim los ntawm tej yam ntuj tsim, thiab tshwm sim los ua ib qho kev txhais dua tshiab ntawm cov txee ib txwm muaj los ntawm kev hloov pauv lub tswv yim ntawm cov yam ntxwv ntawm lub cev ntawm cov khoom siv. Hauv txoj kev no, cov ntoo khoom ua tau nkhaus tau nyob rau hauv ib qho kev xav. Los ntawm kev ua li no, cov kab txhawb ntsug ncab tawm mus cais cov tiaj kab rov tav, muab kev txav mus los rau tag nrho daim khoom thiab txhawb kev xa lub nra. Lub hom phiaj yog los qhia txog qhov tseem ceeb ntawm ntuj ntawm daim khoom no, nws tus yam ntxwv muaj sia thiab sib piv lub zog ntawm nws qhov loj nrog qhov maj mam thiab kev sib cuag me me nrog hauv av.

About the A' Design Award Nyiaj

Hone Txee yog tus yeej ntawm A' Design Award Nyiaj, ib qho kev lees paub muaj meej mom heev tshaj li qub uas muab rau cov qauv tsim qib siab, zoo nkauj thiab ua rau neeg xav tsis thoob. Cov neeg yeej Nyiaj yog cov haujlwm ci ntsa iab heev thiab tsim tshiab heev uas qhia txog kev paub, kev txawj ntse thiab kev ntse ntawm cov kws tsim qauv. Hone Txee xav tias yuav yog ib qho haujlwm zoo kawg nkaus uas tsim rau qhia, tshaj lij heev thiab tsim tshiab tob. Cov qauv tsim yeej A' Design Award Nyiaj no yog ib qho khoom tsim uas pom tseeb heev thiab neeg qhuas uas pab tau thiab nthuav dav ciam teb ntawm kev kos duab, kev tshawb fawb, kev tsim qauv thiab thev naus laus zis. Hone Txee yog ib qho khoom tsim uas neeg coob xav tau, uas ua rau xav, coj kev xav zoo thiab ua rau xav tsis thoob thiab xav paub.

Unique Properties: Hone shelf is a magnetic and timeless design which arises as a reinterpretation of a conventional shelf through a conceptual transformation of the physical properties of the material. By doing so, the wood becomes conceptually elastic. The vertical supports stretch outwards to isolate the horizontal planes, strengthening the joints, providing and promoting load transmission and thickness optimization, giving fluidity and movement to the piece.
Dimensions & Packaging: Width 1400mm x Depth 480mm x Height 1920mm

Production Technology: Hone Shelf is manufactured and tested using CNC technology and wood craftsmanship. Hone Shelf is patiently crafted from the finest hardwood; hand-selected and sourced from certified, sustainable sources.
Design Challenge: I found specially challenging to achieve an organic, beautiful and eye-catching piece of furniture through its complex manufacturing process. It needs to be magnetic to the viewer. Technically, the great challenge was to model and CNC cut the wooden pieces with such a complex geometry.
Research: When facing Hone Shelf, I had nature and living forms as a reference and inspiration. The creative process consists of trying to emulate this evolutionary natural process through natural materials and give a function to it, in this case a side table. This experimental phase is developed through direct transformation exercises using everyday simple material such as plasticine or paper, and tools such as drawing and 3D software. Once the model is created, a prototype is manufactured and tested using CNC technology and wood craftsmanship.
Inspiration: When facing Hone Shelf, I have nature and living forms as a reference and inspiration. Every curve and surface present in nature has a biological explanation related to a certain function over time, and these evolutionary transformations are my source of inspiration to create Hone Shelf. The creative process consists of trying to emulate this natural process through natural materials and give a function to it, in this case a bookshelf.
Project Duration: The project started in October 2023 and finished in November 2023 in Madrid.
Operation Flow: Hone Shelf interacts with the observer in a natural way. The human eye is more used to curved lines and surfaces, they have always been present in nature, they surround us. That instinct lingers in our animal subconscious, and the soft, natural forms give us pleasure and tranquility. Its attractive shape, together with the warmth of the material, makes the user to come closer, touch it, sit next to it.
