Knjižara Huai'an Zhongshuge preobražava arhitektonski prostor u kozmičko putovanje, spajajući nadrealizam sa strukturnom preciznošću. Interijer dominiran pretjeranim trodimenzionalnim formama evocira nebesku mehaniku kroz koncentrične prstenove i nepravilne geometrijske strukture koje oponašaju astronomske instrumente. Knjižne police se savijaju i spiralno uvijaju poput planetarnih orbita, a njihov dinamičan raspored odražava kretanje nebeskih tijela. Razbacane knjige, poput fragmenata beskonačnih svjetova, smještene su unutar ovih skulpturalnih polica.

Unique Properties: Huai’an Zhongshuge’s concept is the “universe”. Using traditional wood, it creates a surreal planetary installation that links two floors.The designer achieved large-scale construction within limited space, overcoming the technical challenge through precise 3D modeling and computational simulation. Repeated adjustments and optimizations ensured the balance between structural stability and visual impact. The bookstore’s display, reading, and leisure functions are embedded into astronomical form.

Inspiration: The design of Huai’an Zhongshuge draws inspiration from the local urban culture, the theme of human exploration of the universe, and the symbolic significance of books. The vastness of the universe echo the infinite knowledge and ideas contained in books, while creating a new cultural landmark for the city. Technically, the design is inspired by the patterns of celestial forms and orbital movements. The designer simulated planetary trajectories, integrating functionality and aesthetics.
