About Arms Chèz Lonje pou Deyò
Arms se yon chèz lonje pou deyò ki fèt pou konfò ak entèraksyon sosyal. Chasi a fèt an fèy aliminyòm ki gen revètman poud, epi kat lat an tèk enkòpore anndan chasi a pou kreye yon aparans ki entegre byen ansanm. Lat yo ka retire fasil pou netwayaj ak antretyen fasil. Fant ki nan chasi a pèmèt dlo ki kaptire koule ale epi yo ajoute vantilasyon pou fasilite sechrès. Pye ki koube yo diminye longè total chèz la, sa fè chèz la ka anfòm nan espas ki pi etwat pase chèz lonje ki gen pye dwat. Yo ka ajoute yon kousen opsyonèl fèt an tisi pou deyò pou plis konfò.

- Production Technology
- The frame is fabricated in sheet aluminum and powder coated with various color options. The teak slats fit interior to the frame and can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance.
With teak finishes in natural or weathered and multiple color options for the frame, the Arms lounge chair provides flexibility to fit any outdoor environment. An optional fabric cushion provides added comfort and flexibility to create looks to match any environment. - Design Challenge
- Wood expands and swells when used in an outdoor setting where sheet aluminum is fairly consistent. The leg attachment to the frame was engineered to account for the teak swelling. A post is welded to the frame that runs in a hole in the center of the leg. The leg is secured with epoxy from the center so that it can swell within the aluminum frame.
- Research
- An ergonomic model was created that allows for adjustment of length and angle of the seat, leg, back and lumbar. Adjusting the angles and length of the components allowed for the geometry to be tested by various users for maximum comfort.
- Inspiration
- The Arms outdoor lounge chair gains inspiration from the feeling of peace and relaxation. The design was conceived and sketched while overlooking a couple resting on the beach. The angled back legs relate to a human form reminiscent of a person sitting on the ground leaning back with their weight on their arms. The mood at the beach is energetic yet relaxed and social and the form of the Arms Lounger reflects those characteristics.
- Project Duration
- The first sketch was created in February 2019. The prototypes were completed August 2021
- Operation Flow
