Jongdae Ryu

Based in Seoul, I work as an artist and yacht designer, and I am introducing new works that cross the boundaries of art and technology. Recently, under the theme of "Digital Craft: DIGITAL CRAFT," I am actively conducting exhibitions and various projects in Korea, Italy, and Japan.
The work features a new type of craft that combines traditional craft techniques with new technologies using digital technologies such as 3D printers as tools based on woodwork. In particular, I am continuing sustainable craft work that can coexist with the natural environment by using bioplastic extracted from wood and corn starch. And I am an adjunct professor in the Department of Wooden Furniture at Hongik University College of Art.
