About 24 Frames of Lightwell Élményközpontú Kiskereskedelmi Belsőépítészet

A 24 Frames of Lightwell egy élményközpontú kiskereskedelmi üzlet egy felújított, 50 éves épületben Tajpejben, 353 négyzetméteren. Kereskedelem, divat, művészet és természet egyesül egyetlen térben. A szubtraktív tervezési megközelítés korlátozza a felújítás környezeti hatását. A meglévő anyagokat újraértelmezték, hogy kiemeljék a régi épület textúráját. Modern terrazzo panelek kerültek felhasználásra a válogatott üzletben, és az eredeti terrazzo lépcsőt helyreállították. A fényakna és a homlokzat könnyed kezelése 24 keretet hoz létre, amelyek formálják a belső teret, és meghatározzák, hogyan érzékelik a látogatók a környezetüket.

Production Technology
In terms of material selection for generating a newborn atmosphere in the old building, the project uses reinterpretation of the existing material to highlight the texture of the old building. For instance, "modern terrazzo panels" are used in the select shop while the existing "terrazzo staircase" are restored by oil-painting. The biggest challenge during construction is to figure out the restoration method since the building was built in 1967 and many material and technique was lost.
Design Challenge
As the project aiming to conserve the urban fabric and offer potential renovation solutions, the biggest challenge during construction is to figure out the restoration method since the building was originally built in 1967. For instance, "Goose yellow terrazzo staircase", "scattered wood-patterned concrete ceiling", "neon green mini tiles" are common building materials and techniques in 60’s- 80’s in Taiwan as well as the housing typology of "walk-up apartment", but cannot be found nowadays.
Inspiration
Currently most of the implemented plans for urban regeneration and development in Taipei are being carried out by reconstruction. The newly built tall walls block the surrounding environment and cut off the urban fabric. In contrast, this project offers another solution to walkup-apartments renovation with minimal environmental impacts, which is to create the "24 frames" as a framework of the space allowing client to integrate various fields together perfectly in a 50-year-old building.
Project Duration
The project started in April 2019 and built in May 2020 in Taipei
Operation Flow
Through the "24 frames", playful interactions are created among surroundings, visitors and the artworks.
