A Flora Fotel bemutatása

A Flora egy szabad és kötetlen pihenésre tervezett fotel. A folytonos, íves forma megszünteti a határokat az ülőfelület, a háttámla és a karfák között, ihletét egy virágbimbó kinyílásából merítve. Az aszimmetrikus héjszerkezet lehetővé teszi az ülést, a támaszkodást vagy a fekvést többféle pozícióban, mechanizmusok és állítási lehetőségek nélkül. A váz tömör tauari fából, a héj pedig préselt, hajlított rétegelt fából készül, kézzel kidolgozva és fenntartható anyagokkal kárpitozva. Egy különálló hengerpárna nyújt további támaszt a különböző használati módokban. A Flora méretei: 108 x 110 x 90 centiméter.

Its continuous form dissolves boundaries between seat, backrest, and arms, allowing multiple ways of use. With a sculptural design and renewable wood structure, it values body freedom, sustainability, and customization, without losing identity or function.

Gyártástechnológia: Flora blends technological precision and artisanal skill. Its solid tauari wood base is sustainably sourced and finely crafted. The curved shell is molded from pressed multilaminates, finished by hand, and upholstered with eco-conscious materials. The roll cushion is crafted with care and offers flexible use. Entirely produced in Brazil, the process honors local furniture tradition with environmental awareness.
Design kihívás: The challenge was to break traditional ergonomics without losing comfort. Flora invites lying down, not just sitting, requiring a study of informal postures and new support criteria. Production was also a challenge, translating free curves into viable molds. Integrating sustainable materials without compromising aesthetics reinforced the project's vision as a new perspective on rest.
Kutatás: The research aimed to rethink sitting from the perspective of the sensitive, not mechanical, body. Informal postures and daily gestures of rest were observed, leading to an asymmetrical, embracing form. Inspired by a blooming flower, Flora combines user testing, renewable materials, and intuitive design to propose a freer, more emotional, and everyday-connected experience of rest.
Inspiráció: Flora was born from the desire to rethink the act of sitting, proposing a free and unstructured rest. Inspired by the shape of a blooming flower bud, its curved shell gently embraces the body. Without rigid divisions, it allows multiple uses, guided by the user's sensibility. More than function, it is a poetic proposal on being in space with affection, freedom, and truth.
Projekt időtartama: The project began in 2020 and was first published in 2021 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Működési folyamat: Flora encourages intuitive, sensory interaction, breaking with the frontal use of traditional armchairs. Its curved, asymmetrical shape invites sitting, lying, or leaning freely. The adjustable cushion enhances comfort in various uses. With no mechanisms or adjustments, the piece welcomes spontaneously, promoting a natural flow between body, presence, and rest.
