A Flora Az Ábra bemutatása

A növényvilág fantasztikus illusztráció, amely elősegíti a művész kreativitását és mesemondását, ábrázolja a gyomor-bélrendszer mikrobióta virágzását, amelyet a forró gyomorkörnyezet táplál meg. A virágzást Bacteroidetes, Bifidobacteriam és Enterococcus szirmai, a Lactobacillus hüvelyek és az Enterococcus faecalis porzói ábrázolják az Escherichia coli szárán. Maga a virág a Clostridium szárán jelentkezik. A Bacillus Cereus, a hosszú rúd alakú baktériumok ízületi stádiumukban rostok révén kapcsolódnak a bélhámhoz, fonalasan növekednek és sporulálódnak.

Egyedi tulajdonságok: Creating a visual pun on the idea that gastric flora might be blossoming flowers in the digestive tract, the artist set out to create a flower composed of the bacteria found in the gut.

Gyártástechnológia: Created using Cinema 4D, a 3D modeling program, and Photoshop on a Mac.
Design kihívás: Creating a flower that both looked like a flower, but was also easily recognized as being constructed of recognizable bacteria required a creative balance between the two.
Kutatás: The artist researched the common bacteria, called flora, of the gut. The artist studied electron micrographs depicting these different bacteria, and created 3D models of the different bacteria. The artist arranged the 3D-modeled bacteria to construct a flower, using different bacteria for different parts of the flower. The churning gastric juices and primordial environment of the gut comprises the environment from which the flower grows. The flower springs forth from the microvilli found in the lining of the small intestine.
Inspiráció: The artist is a certified medical illustrator working in the advertising and marketing of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Self promotional work created for clients, and prospective clients, is a chance to promote the artist's creativity, artistry and storytelling skills in visual science.
Projekt időtartama: The project was in development for three weeks at the artist's studio in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, USA.
Működési folyamat: The illustration is meant to be enjoyable and memorable by playing on the pun of gastric flora.
