About Gloria Cincin, Gelang

Gloria adalah koleksi perhiasan yang terdiri atas sebuah cincin dan sebuah gelang. Rancangannya terinspirasi oleh halo, lingkaran cahaya yang dilukiskan para seniman di sekeliling kepala para santo sebagai tanda kebajikan. Lingkar utama cincin dan badan gelang dibentuk dengan tangan dari kawat. Batu-batunya juga dibuat dengan tangan dari bahan-bahan alami, tanpa pewarna kimia atau zat tambahan, sehingga batu-batu tersebut dapat kembali ke alam. Setiap bagian dapat dikenakan secara terpisah maupun dipadukan, sehingga bentuk dan fungsinya dapat diubah. Tujuannya adalah mengungkapkan pengangkatan jiwa manusia dalam sebuah objek yang dapat dikenakan.

The stones in this collection are made out of unique, environment friendly and completely natural materials.

Production Technology: The main shanks of the ring and the body of the bracelet are made by wire handforming and the stones’ materials are totally natural and environment friendly and in fact, no sort of chemical colors or substances has been used during the process of making.
Design Challenge: After searching in various features of natural materials, manifold techniques were tested to specify the optimal crafting method; so eventually a crafting process was selected out of sustainable and unique methods for making the stones of this collection.
Research: The design data of this collection and specially its stones, are garnered through information gathering and field & empirical studies.
Inspiration: (Gloria), In the dictionary it means halo, worshiping and praying of God the Almighty.The halo is a luminous ring which artists paint around the head of Saints or Mormons; this was used as the inspiration of the design.
Project Duration: This project started in 2017 and ended in 2019 after making the preliminary prototypes.
