About Elegant Serenity Desain Interior Hunian

Elegant Serenity adalah sebuah desain interior hunian di Kota Taipei, Taiwan, dengan luas 1.025,68 kaki persegi. Tata ruangnya mengikuti rutinitas harian dan mengalir dari area publik menuju area privat. Plafon bundar bercermin berfungsi sebagai titik jangkar visual sekaligus memantulkan kehidupan sehari-hari di bawahnya. Plafon tersebut dipasang pada rangka logam kustom dan sistem gantung untuk memastikan kerataan serta kestabilannya. Di area makan, island berbahan batu gelap, kaki logam berbentuk silinder, dan permukaan meja marmer membentuk satu komposisi yang menyerupai karya pahat. Cahaya, tekstur, dan proporsi menghadirkan kehangatan pada hunian minimal yang tenang ini.

Unique Properties: This project centers around a mirrored circular ceiling feature, reflecting everyday rituals while evoking a sense of stillness and spatial rhythm. In the dining area, a geometric interplay of materials connects the dark stone island, cylindrical metal leg, and marble tabletop into a cohesive sculptural composition. The design balances minimalism with warmth, using light, texture, and proportion to craft a home that feels both grounded and elevated in its quiet elegance.

Production Technology: The project was realized through on-site fabrication, integrating varied materials with precision. The mirrored ceiling was mounted via a custom metal frame and suspension system to ensure flatness and stability. The dining table and metal column connection required repeated on-site adjustments for structural safety and seamless alignment.
Design Challenge: The key challenge was transforming the abstract idea of gaze into spatial form while balancing structure and emotion. The mirrored ceiling required precision in weight, reflection, and alignment. Material transitions also demanded detailed coordination. Achieving warmth within a minimalist design remained a constant creative task.
Research: This project draws from a lifestyle observation study exploring how urban residents seek comfort under high-pressure routines. Through interviews and spatial behavior analysis, it was found that users value ritual, calm, and coherence. These insights informed a design strategy using mirrored ceilings, material contrast, and intuitive flow to enhance emotional well-being in daily life.
Inspiration: Inspired by spatial psychology and geometric symbolism, the mirrored circular ceiling serves as both a visual anchor and a metaphor for connection and reflection. Through geometric order and material contrast, the design responds to the need for calm within urban life, guiding perception through light, rhythm, and proportion to shape a residence of emotional and aesthetic clarity.
