About Dcl Kursi
Dcl adalah kursi yang seluruhnya terbuat dari papan serat berkepadatan tinggi (HDF). Setiap bagian dipotong menggunakan mesin CNC router. Kursi ini dicat dengan warna solid yang cerah, dan warna apa pun dapat diterapkan. Dilihat dari kejauhan, Dcl tampak hampir seperti balok kubus berwarna solid alih-alih sebuah kursi. Rancangannya mengikuti sebuah studi kursi karya arsitek dan desainer Italia Cesare Leonardi, yang hanya berupa model kayu dan tidak pernah diproduksi. Nama Dcl merupakan singkatan dari Dopo Cesare Leonardi, yang berarti Setelah Cesare Leonardi. Kursi ini berukuran 55 x 50 x 70 sentimeter.

- Unique Properties
- It's a chair made entirely of HDF and painted with a bright solid color - any color - and looks like, when spotted, almost not a chair but a sort of a cubic block of solid massive color.

- Design Challenge
- In this particular case, there was not "a hardest part of design", which is very rare in any of my designs.
- Research
- I simply found in the internet a photo of one interesting study of chair made by the Italian architect and designer Cesare Leonardi. Since Leonardi's chair was not developed nor produced, I thought I could "devevelop it, as I was a Leonardi's team member, and started make a model of of it, changing material, changing form and proportions and making it in a more logic way, seaching for a better proportion and confort for a chair of plain HDF (Leonardi's chair was made of solid wood). The result: my chair is very basic, more logic than Leonardi's; my chair is a concept chair. DCL means Dopo Cesare Leonardi (After Cesare Leonardi).
- Inspiration
- My inspiration was a chair study made by Cesare Leonardi, an Italian architect and designer. Leonardi's chair was nothing more than a wooden model and was not developed nor produced.

- The project started in May 2025 in São Paulo and finished in October 2025.
