Interview with Arman Nur

I couldn’t imagine to be something else then a designer, I wanted to take part on creating and underlining the beauty on this world.

No one forced me, I would say that I forced to be a designer.

I design environment and all that I design at the moment is what I wish to design.

Young designers should be honest with them and find their inspiration in their souls. They should never try to find their art in another art or artist.

A great designer is someone with genius ideas and his one style, evolved through the years, someone who investigates new technics and possibilities. A good designer is someone who reproduces something what is already done in a new way.

The individuality, profundity, and the unusual appearance turns a good design into a great design and of course the main idea so the meaning.

All the points I have noted in the last question are the value. In my opinion everyone should invest in comfort ability and beauty so in good design.

When I would have endless time and possibilities I would make the whole world more beautiful.

Create something what would teach people to love.

All my creations strive for being beautiful and to say something like their history.

They are a lot so it’s not possible for me to list because the list would be too long.

They could research themselves and their own nature.

I would become a doctor.

I would like to define for not only design but for art. Art is peoples try to become similar to good.

My first teacher, Samvel Baghdasaryan. He helped me to get loose of my boundaries I had lined for myself and to be free.

My endless imagination helped me.

To be misunderstood and not accepted at this time period. Today’s creations are never understandable today, they are understandable in a later time period.

In the best possible way matching to the creations style and meaning.

I never talk about the next project in advance, only after it is done and presentable.

he goal is to add one more Idea into the bank of my Ideas.

People would be never able to predict my next step because the next one is more à than the last one.

When design is able to teach people being esthetic, it teaches them to be more kind also and besides of this it gives them more comfort and beauty

As I said I won’t talk about the future.

Each work gives me satisfaction no matter small or big.

I think the evolving process goes its natural way matching to the time period so do not want to change anything.

I would love to see the design of humans’ soul for being more beautiful and tolerant.

It is very different for all of them.

I begin from the mind.

I want to have my very own input into the slogan “Beauty will save the world”.

For example, I try to be independent from both of this versions by being honest and individual in my works.

Of course technology has a big role in the design world but I give the importance to paper and pencil like in the old days.

Most of the time I use very simple equipment and my hands.

All materials on the world can be used and all of them has their role.

All I want is them to join it and to love it or not, I think questions are not needed in this case.

I would like to have done that project.

It happens sometimes that I work with someone but this is really very seldom, I use to work alone.

Each person can influence with their individuality.

All good books had their influence in some of my collections.

I feel satisfied and loved as a designer but being famous is not easy because you have a lot of attention and this gives a feeling for responsibility.

I have no favorite color but I can tell about my favorite place which is all the nature on the world, the favorite food is everything I eat when I am hungry, the season I like most is spring but I don’t have a favorite brand.

The funniest thing is about my last and artistic name I guess because in different languages it has a very different meaning for example in our language it is a fruit in the Arabic language it means light, in German it means only so in every country I have exhibitions it is always the same question why Nur ??

A good thought, Idea and an inspiration makes my whole day gorgeous.

It was obvious that I would become a designer but a great designer I haven’t become yet.

I am sure I won’t be anymore and what will be in general could be anything, I have no Idea about that one.

When there are those kinds, then they surly know everything they have to.

In my studio are studying people who are already painters. Leaded by me they become professional designers. Also I do learn in my studio because every time by creating something new I explore more and more

For me design is to reproduce what is given us from the nature, to make things which are already in the nature more comfortable and compact.

I don’t have favorites. Something I create in that moment I am in love whit this creation no matter if it is a painting a sculpture or a jewel.

Those designs I haven t done yet those are my favorites because the best one isn’t done yet.

It would be very difficult to remember because before the studio I have done a lot and during opening the studio and after that also.

Also here I do not have favorites. All materials are useful to create something great and all technologies are reasonable to get the desired result.

On that moment when there is born something new in my mind I get the most creative. The process of making it is just work but the imagination before it is the best part.

Before finishing a design, I have already started a new one so there is never the feeling of enjoying the created product.

At first of course the comfort after that the ergonomic part and the end the visual appearance but above all this is the meaning which is very important.

The Idea, what should it change on the world and what has it to say, the meaning is the first aspect to notice.

I think, making the life better, changing the point of view and teaching people to be better humans.

The only thing I can say is that design will never be perfect because the only perfect thing is the nature.

The last one is the one which is going now and the next one will be exactly after it.

My design inspiration comes only from the nature and I feed my creativity as considered of course from the nature.

My design style is studying, studying the nature and the human nature. My achievement is that I was and I am able to create the new based on the heritage of the past, stylize the nature and give it an other life.

I live in Armenia and of course the regional culture and the heritage of this country the people and the nature strongly affect my designs. I have a lot of artworks especially based on the history of this region. I fell myself as the carrier of this culture and try to evolve it by my artworks.

I am open for cooperation.

Every company has a point of view and its very one style so the selection of a good designer is very subjective.

It’s not possible to describe the process because it’s very euphoric so after that you are not able to describe anything and sometimes you don’t remember it even.

The house itself, the residents who are the most important part of it and about the other three please allow me not to talk.

All my day is based on work and some chaos free time.

Always search for Ideas in yourself, never try to find it outside of your soul and never try to be like someone else. Be yourself as an individual human and you will find everything what you carry with you.

No negatives because I am a positive person and the positive is that you are always creating.

Be honest.

Be not afraid of anything to express be brave and take a risk because this is the 90 % of the work.

My mind and my hands as a tool.

I don’t manage my time I just keep going on and work.

Each creation takes its very own time period, they are all different and so the time is.

Where do you get your Ideas from?

Every artwork is a new experience.

I enjoy all of them, all those I am doing and have to do.

I see the future in trying to teach to love the world

Usually it is me and myself.
