Design Legend Interview
21 October 2019
I graduated in graphic design in South America. After working as a junior designer, I moved to Europe, where I worked as a web/graphic designer while obtaining my Master's in 3D Animation and Motion Graphics. I kept pushing forward—more and more invaluable experience—and after going managerial I decided to take the ultimate career leap by moving to Asia in 2011.
I had a fantastic time Asia, working multi-language with people from all over the world, while at the same time being able to contribute my own global POV along the way. I had the opportunity to work in 2 startups building products from scratch and managing designers from Taiwan and 4 provinces of China. After 4 years in Taiwan I decided to take the next step and move to United States.
Currently my focus is designing On-demand Knowledge centered products, on both app and web platform, improving users productivity and learning with the help of AI.

I wanted to create beautiful compositions
I can't imagine being something other than a designer
I wish I could design more apps
Try to learn as much as possible, always keep yourself up to date and experiment a lot
Hard work and perseverance
I think a really good design inspires emotions
Good design makes life better, less stress less friction so people can focus in what is important to them. I think everyone should invest on good design, not just for aesthetics but to make life a little easier for everyone
I would design apparel for dogs
To create a design system that will allow me to better manage design at scale
I don't think that there is a secret recipe, more of a gut feeling that can be verified with user success
I think PhotoStudy is my greatest design, helping young people access help in Education has been great and rewarding.
Read a lot of books, not just about design but about strategy and business. Focus on the user with a lot of research. Test and iterate as much as possible, and repeat as many times as you can.
I wanted to study Architecture at some point
My family and friends are my biggest supporters. My Mom could do anything she put her mind into, she was a great inspiration
Working in different industries and different countries
Language barrier and cultural differences, designing a product for the Chinese market was challenging but rewarding
AI assistend Knowledge
To continue helping people with my designs
World class designs
Educational projects, the feeling that I'm helping people in some way is satisfactory
Designer Interview

Ever since I was very young I wanted to be a designer or do something related with Design, I spent most of my days illustrating and testing different techniques of paintings, arts and crafts and I wanted to learn more about composition and art history, but after a few years I found my true passion in Digital Design.
Got It is a start up company in Silicon Valley, we have a small but creative design Team.
App UI/UX is my favorite.
Sketch and Illustrator are my favorite design tools.
At crunch times mostly, where there is not much time left before a deadline.
I focus more on the User journey and the best way for them to solve their problem without friction.
Pleased with my work, but I always start to think about new ways to improve that design.
Delivering the right information.
Aesthetics, concept and understanding .
Digital interactive design, I think
I do a lot of research, always finding trying to find new trends.
I live in United States, but I have lived in other countries, as a result I can always use that to my advantage, I have experience with the European, asian and American market.
First, start with the Mission, the Why? Understand the User Story, be as human-centric as possible. Then start sketching ideas.
Know your design style and own it, don't be afraid to try new techniques, never stop learning and upgrading yourself.
It's all about planning, resources and organization. I spend my mornings planning for the day and the sprint, making sure all resources and designers are allocated for each project, and include some time for unpredictable last minute events.
Depends on the object, some projects take hours some take days, on Product design we usually take 2 weeks to 1 month per project.
Can you make the logo bigger, it's a common joke. The most frequent question would be, How can we make this better, getting the user to understand a concept without explaining it to them is always a challenge.
I would like to focus more on User Experience.
I work as a team, mostly I work on the initial art direction and provide guidance to the team to work on the UI.
