Designer Interview
26 January 2021
As a high school pass-out, my choices for career in life were inclined towards a creative field. Converging to a Product Design course at MIT Institute of Design, Pune was my destiny. My life in design started way before the academic circle. 3D has been my passion since developing years. Now that I am dissolved in the Product Design field, I feel immensely joyous and enthusiastic.
MIT Institute of Design is an autonomous institute offering courses in Design. It is ranked to be one of the 5 best institutes for design learning in India.
Design for me is passion and strength completely indulging in Product design gives me immense joy and satisfaction. Intrusively observing and constantly provoking problem-solving ideologies is the way of life for me. Constantly evolving and innovating is to make the world a better place is design for me.
Practical problem-solving Product design is my ally and which I most astoundingly enjoy.
The first iPhone under Steve Jobs is my most favorite design. Not only is it a beginning of a new era but it also deeply influences the major design changes and perfection that is put into a single outcome. The innovation with tech design, marketing with a major focus on user experience into the finest level made the difference.
During my first design internship, I designed a Bamboo Amplifier, details of which are classified under NDA.
My favorite platform has to be digital product design modeling, rendering and simulation. My favorite material to work with is undoubtedly Bamboo. It's sheer versatility, eco-friendly nature and production capabilities inspire my practical self.
I am sure most of the designers and design learners will agree with me on this, the most creative time is at late hours with the team. Productivity levels definitely are higher after hours at least for design learners.
I focus on practicality, versatility, innovation, simplicity, tech-base and production leveled aspects when designing.
I feel enthusiastic and ever motivated while designing.
I feel joyous and proud with max efforts I try to put into every little detail.
Perfection, empathy and innovation make a design successful.
When judging a design functionality, aesthetics, ergonomics, purposeful design aspects I would consider foremost.
Every problem has a solution and almost every material has an alternative so relinquishing those requirements over constraints. With a lot of problems to solve together let us make this world a little better.
The field is definitely evolving and gaining a lot of attention for the design processes to suffice problem-solving methods. The future of design is tech-based custom preferable design language.
Two of my projects were featured on 'packaging of the world' an online platform.
My main sources of inspiration are from nature. The way that nature evolved into solutions is just so much of a high. Experiencing problems first hand and empathizing are also some of my important inspirations.
Practical problem-solving Product design is my ally and which I most astoundingly enjoy.
I live in Mumbai, India and India is famous for its rich culture and ethnicity it definitely transforms my design into a practical and aesthetically styled type.
Mostly online based deliverables since I am a student and education is my priority.
A good design working environment is the only qualifier since a good team makes a design great.
Cyber Tapri was my only client as of now.
Digital modeling and rendering because it is the fastest and the best way to describe a design.
n the next 10 years, I see myself having established a Design firm of my own, traveling the world subsequently.
I design as an individual as well as in teams.
