Design Legend Interview

4 July 2024

In those ancient hours when I was a child, I wanted to invent sea ships because I had the opportunity to visit design firms that designed ocean-going ships. Later I became interested in designing cruise ship interiors.

I constantly had images of futuristic starship interiors in my head and I wanted to learn how to create drawings so that I could later implement these interiors in space or on sea ships. This was and is a strong motivator that makes me a designer.

I attended art school. And when I was 15 years old I started an internship in an architectural studio. There I already consciously realized that I wanted to be a designer.

I would like to develop super high-tech residential capsule modules that can be serviced by humanoid robots.

I advise young designers to develop the second hemisphere of the brain, it is necessary when working in a virtual environment and when working with three-dimensional models

Unfortunately, it's a difficult question. For example, to feel and understand the nature of things, the nature of the material, to capture how the exterior flows into the interior forming a single ensemble.

I have more than 20 evaluation characteristics. I can say that the assessment of interior design occurs from a photograph, sometimes the interior can be seen in real life. For me, the general combinatorics of all components is important, for example, the overall harmony of all the walls of the interior in relation to the ceiling and floor. The placement of furniture fittings in the interior environment influences natural light on the interior. How to solve the lighting scheme for evening night lighting. And many many others.

Now the main thesis of good design is a highly functional design that can take into account the needs of accommodating assistant robots.

I spend all my free time creating a virtual microdistrict of today, in which the service staff are humanoid robots. I am considering several functional concepts in which robot assistants do not intersect with the transit zones of people, being invisible assistants in people’s homes. Develop the ability to express your thoughts on paper. With paints. Create sculptures. This is a 100% direct physical embodiment of your own thoughts. And the main thing is that you need to put a lot of effort into your hands so that the brain perceives the work created by your hands.

I would shoot video clips, I would write music in the style of hip-hop rap.

Design is what takes me away from the realities of war to the realities of tomorrow

Over a long period of work in this industry, I have found for myself the path to a new technological renaissance in the interior design of today and tomorrow.

good work and quality services

When we value an item we buy and don’t throw it in the trash after a week, we pollute the planet. We need to move away from a society of endless consumption.

I am working on the interiors of a country villa in the historicist style. A synthesis of antique environments from different eras and a super modern climate control system and smart home.

Design projects of country villas in a modern style. Using more span trusses allowing to organize the flow of one space into another

There was a case when we started doing an interior design project in a high-rise building. The high-rise building was not put into operation for a long time and most of the residents were not allowed to make repairs to their apartments on the floors. The point is that the building was empty without decoration, but the elevators worked. And our client was allowed to start renovating the apartment before anyone else. We communicated with the client remotely by phone. The administrator of the house showed us a room on the floor, he says this is Mr. (N)’s apartment, we started doing renovations, about 90% ready, the client arrived, we take him to the floor, we bring him into the apartment, we show him, he admires and says how beautiful it is, is it like that for me too?? What do you mean this happens to you too???? This is your apartment. No, my apartment is on the floor above.....HA HA HA. One guy made a mistake.

I am motivated and driven by war and constant attacks by missiles, bombs and drones.
I just want to live

I think not, but I really liked to draw

The number of people on the planet will decrease. After the ban on the birth of a second child. Robot assistants will increase. Or we will all move to Mars.

Designer Interview

4 July 2024

From early childhood I loved to draw.
And my parents allowed me to attend art school. I started going to art school at the age of 6. At the age of 15, I entered the College of Arts with a degree in graphic design and decorator. After college I entered the Academy of Arts and Architecture. Since 2003, I have been a co-owner of my own bureau. He began to engage in interior design in 1988.

Architectural workshop Studio 68/32 was founded and based in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2003. The Bureau consists of mature architects, artists, decorators, and furniture restorers. The architectural bureau is headed by Vitaly Dorokhov, Tatiana Dmitrenko, and Natalia Dmitrenko. The total number of employees of the workshop consists of six people. Our studio offers its exclusive design with no restrictions on stylistic preferences, and attention to detail, from the functionality to the latest decorative interior details. We offer Architectural Design, Architectural restoration, conservation, Construction site safety, Consultancy, Project Management, Project Financing, Furniture, and Interior Design, Interior Lighting, Architectural Modelling

For me, the creative path in interior design is the essence of today's existence.
Over a long period of work in this industry, I have found for myself the path to a new technological renaissance in the interior design of today and tomorrow.

Most of all I like to design super-technological interiors where a mixture of New Deco style is intertwined with the super-technological Lux-style.

My favorite design is the interior of a Lufthansa Technik aircraft in collaboration with the design bureau MERCEDES-BENZ
presented at the European Business Aviation Convention 2015 (EBACE 2015) exhibition and is planned for introduction into production and operation in short- and long-haul VIP and VVIP class aircraft.

it was an interior in the style of Minimalism

I am interested in 3D printing technologies for manufacturing surfaces from Kevlar mesh

I'm feeling creative
When I work in virtual space and create new forms

image of the work, function, form, style, material

I experience a feeling of great concentration when in virtual space I travel through a newly simulated residential area.

I feel like I've come a long way and I'm starting to think about new things.
Sometimes in some renovation projects I couldn’t believe that my team and I were able to find such an architectural and engineering solution.

Successful design. This is a self-sufficient design of a work that will be appreciated by generations of people after us.

When assessing interior design, I include more than 20 types of criteria by which I can decide for myself how successful this project is.

The responsibilities of the Urbanist designer are to explain to society by what rules people can exist in the city and not only consume as an appendage of society.

It's a difficult question. In Europe, this is most likely decoration and the lack of modern standards for technological home improvement

I don't know

automotive design. Planning and design of sea yachts

My design style is Cinema eclecticism and MAXI style

In my country there are a huge number of architects and builders who influenced my development as an architect, especially during the period of the pioneers of modernism 1927-1952

I cooperate with related companies that participate in our project

First of all, look at the high-quality execution of working documentation. Documentation must be completed in the BIM 200-300 system

We design using three-dimensional models of both buildings and interiors. And we pay especially much attention to the detailed elaboration of plans, engineering systems and furniture fittings. as well as the creation of detailed documentation for supplying the object with materials.

Lamp, kitchen, sofa bed

At the beginning, I hide in a bomb shelter because, as a rule, we are bombed from 4 am to 9 am. Then I come to the workshop and start communicating with subcontractors on projects that are currently in progress. our working day is 18 hours.

Friends, be sure to develop curiosity in yourself, draw a lot in order to train your brain, do a lot of modeling in order to train your motor skills. Develop the second hemisphere of the brain. This is necessary in order to immerse yourself in the virtual world of today and tomorrow.

Lack of free time

Function form and image

volumetric spatial thinking

Revit, Lumion

I work around the clock

Our team completed a recent project in London 250m2 in 31 days
We did some of our projects within 1 year.

How much does this project cost?

hospital design and construction

Private people. Construction developers

Working in virtual space when I'm working with a form

If Putin does not detonate a nuclear bomb in Ukraine, then I think that the time after the war will be happy

I work in a team

There is a new house project

I think people interested in professional communication can contact me

Main question!!!! Friends, professionals, the time for change has come; you cannot design housing without taking into account the fact that today robots are becoming an integral part of society. It is necessary to radically reconsider the function of designing residential buildings, taking into account robotic service personnel
