Interview with Vyri Junhan Yang

I just want to.

Now i'm in the fashion word. and this the way i could explain my idea.

I don't know. I'm still young.

Good designer could do some really good design work, and great designer is themselves and they are a part of their design.

I don't know.

Work for the human.

The cherish emotions.

Could i say my mom, she lead me into the design world.

I like a lot, anything i could read the emotions form that i could like it.

I believe design is a psychological creative process. It comes from life, and changes life, and influences life. In the fashion world, I integrate shapes, colors, materials, and decorations to convey a paradox.

I'm just a part time designer. i have my formal job in the IT company. If i did't become a designer my i could prefer the film director.

The way to explain the idea.

I have a lot 2D project i'm waiting to make them come true.

Design is helping to create the better life.

I couldn't remember.

Even though I didn’t have a background in art, I was grown up with all kind of creative things. I’m really thankful that I was born in a well-educated family. I was influenced by my mother who usually made some interesting artworks such as drawings, clothes, dolls, and music, especially she loves making cloth, and most of my clothes were made by my mother, even though her job is engineering. I stepped into this charming art world when I was little child. My mom supported me to learn a lot of extra-curricular art-related classes.

I'm not sure.

I don't have one.

The tool to explain my mind.

Everything i could do and interest in.

I don't have the most favorite one, i like what i like.

Follow the client's require.

I don't know.

Any time. I could inspire by the music movie painting and everything relate to it.

The same thing when i design.

Nothing is bad. Every design work is way to communicate with the designer.

I've never think about it.

Every thing from my life.

My design represent the different design focuses, which are patterns and printing, draping, construction combination, fabric manipulation, and geometric variation. Although my focus is different, I have always been exploring my aesthetic style, and all of my inspirations are around blooming and death.

I was grown up in Beijing and now i'm living in San Francisco.

I don't the experience in the design word.

I don't know,

I tried to look at the design of multiple angles, and made some self-experiments. Each project I played with one point and combined the elements I learned before. The most challenge for me is thinking as the artist because my background would pull me away from the design world and involuntarily enter into a logical state of mind. I have to control myself in the art world and at this point when I’m looking back to my projects sometimes I feel there are tight state feelings. I try to find a relaxed state in the design process, combining some internal ideas and design elements. The final result is that I am satisfied.
