Toromac er sérstaklega hannaður með öflugu útliti til að koma með nýja leið til að neyta nýpressaðan appelsínusafa. Hann er búinn til hámarksútdráttar fyrir veitingastaði, mötuneyti og matvöruverslana og úrvals hönnun hans gerir það kleift að bjóða upp á bragð, heilsu og hreinlæti. Það er með nýstárlegt kerfi sem sker ávexti lóðrétt og kreistir helmingana með snúningsþrýstingi. Þetta þýðir að hámarksárangur næst án þess að kreista eða snerta skelina.

- Unique Properties
- Its exclusive design allows a friendly experience for a healthier lifestyle, delivering flavor and hygiene. It has a unique system that cuts the fruit vertically and then squeezes the halves by rotary pressure. This means that maximum performance is achieved without squeezing or touching the shell. It is the juicer with the best cost x benefit ratio in the Brazilian market, to meet the needs of commercial establishments, which have demand for juice production in a short period of time.

- The manufacturing process uses the following technologies: metal stamping and plastic injection. The product receives in some parts that composes it, the epoxy painting process as well. The materials used are: carbon steel, 304 stainless steel rollers, ABS plastic, nylon, armor-plated bearings and LEDs
- Design Challenge
- Innovate in the market, offering the best experience of use and consumption. Export to the USA market. Offers the authentic flavor of natural juice. Made on the spot with maximum use of the fruit. The result of interdisciplinary work among the various stakeholders involved (design, engineering, marketing, traders, users and consumers). The vertical cut system allows maximum profitability with an authentic flavor without touching the fruit. In addition, its various sensors (supply, counter, use and disposal) have made the product the safest on the market, also guaranteeing minimal maintenance.
- Research
- Desk Field, Focus Groups, Consumer Insights, Trend Mappings. We collect all data through an immersive process including consumer, designers and multidisciplinary teams (marketing, engineer, sustainability, anthropology). Objectives: Bring innovation and differentiation to this market in Brazil and Latin America. Method: Consumer-Centric Insights with Design based approach to solving problems. The method steps were: Research (map/understand), Conceptualize (alternative generation), Visualize (renderings), Realize (prototype) and Implement.
- Inspiration
- Inspired by commercial use (restaurants, coffee shop, hotel, small supermarkets), which needs high productivity in an uncomplicated way, increasing the profitability of the business without investing in labor. Therefore, its design reflected robustness and strength, combined with good usability in operation, disassembly and cleaning. The equipment has an easy-to-use panel, which includes a fruit counter, continuous or batch operation, energy saving mode, easy disassembly and full trash indicator.
- Project Duration
- The project has started in June 2019 and finished in December 2019. All project and development has been made in Brazil.
- Operation Flow
- the interaction follows this:
1. supply the upper reservoir;
2. turns the product on by pressing the start button;
3. choose the mode (continuous, glass or jar);
4. the product starts to cut and squeeze the oranges automatically;
The natural juice can be poured directly over the glass or jar or can be stored in a larger reservoir. The machine process con be interrupted any time, pressing the emergency button. The removable trash has 7L capacity and a sensor indicates the cleaning time. - Patents
