About Smart Center Primary Function: Fjarstýringarforrit fyrir sjónvarp
Smart Center er farsímaforrit sem fjarstýrir Vestel snjallsjónvörpum með Wi-Fi tengingu. Forritið sýnir útsendingardagskrá og ítarlegar upplýsingar um dagskrárliði. Notendur geta tekið upp þætti til að horfa á síðar, stillt áminningar og deilt efni úr farsímanum á sjónvarpsskjáinn. Raddstýring, gerð rásalista og efnisspeglun milli síma og sjónvarps eru einnig innifalin. Eiginleikum er skipt í aðalvalmynd, fjarstýringu, sjónvarpsdagskrá, forrit og stillingar. Dökkt viðmót og reitalögun draga úr áreynslu á augun og styðja við auðvelda lesningu.

- Unique Properties
- Smart Center mobile app provides users to control remotely connected WiFi-enabled, smart Vestel televisions. With the help of Smart Center, information about program broadcasting and program details are always at hand. Users can also record broadcast programs to watch later, set reminders for programs, and share content on their mobile phones with their TVs. Users will be able to follow their TV routines and favorite channels & programs and more easily while they are controlling their TVs.

- Design Challenge
- Vestel UX Group do user researches and A/B testing according to appropriate user group for defining exact user needs and related project guidelines. UX Group, after creating user journey maps, combines them with suitable interfaces for create better user experiences for Vestel smart device’s users. While designing these interfaces, user research insights, emotional impacts, usage scenarios, various design architecture systems and actual design trends are considered.
- Research
- The dark interface is designed for a comfortable use that will not be tiring for the user while controlling the TV. Since the remote control feature is similar to the generic control elements and aspects universal, standard rules, the user can easily and intuitively control their television. The grid structured layout of SmartCenter provides user to follow TV guide and view program details easily while strengthening eye tracking.
- Inspiration
- Vestel Smart Center is an easy-to-use remote controller mobile application developed for Vestel Smart televisions. Standard remote controls are very limited for controlling a TV. that has various smart features. This causes deficiencies in the interaction between users and TVs. SmartCenter mobile app is designed and developed for improving this interaction. In addition to basic remote control features SmartCenter offers voice control, creating channel list, mirroring media between phone and TV.
- Project Duration
- The project started in 2019 in Manisa.
- Operation Flow
- Smart Center has an easy-to-understand and usable UX and UI design, and information architecture. SmartCenter gathers relevant features under different gorups such as Main Menu which includes primetime programs and their details, Remote Control, TV Guide, Applications and Settings. All these menus meet different needs of TV users. Users can remotely turn on/off and control their connected TVs by Remote Control feature. It also offers program suggestions to the user according to previous choices.
