Grafísk hönnunarhugtak og sjónræn samskipti fyrir Afterimages listatímaritið eru samfelld: frá lógói, sjálfsmynd til útlits. Meginmarkmið verkefnisins var að takast á við arfleifð Strzeminski listaakademíunnar í Lodz og búa til nútímaútgáfu af henni sem sprottin er af framúrstefnuhefð. Grófur gæðapappír, þurrstimplunartækni, prentliturinn (Pantone) sem er settur á kápuna, samsvarar efni hvers tölublaðs. Tímaritið er ríkulega myndskreytt, uppfullt af vönduðum myndum og líkist að þessu leyti lífsstílstímariti.

Afterimages Tímariti vann A' Design Award í silfri, gífurlega virta viðurkenningu sem veitt er hönnunarverkum í fremstu röð, stórfallegum og áhrifamiklum. Sigurvegarar í silfri eru ákaflega snjöll og afar skapandi verk sem sýna framúrskarandi sérfræðiþekkingu, hæfileika og skarpskyggni hönnuða sinna. Þess er vænst að Afterimages Tímariti sé dásamlegt sýningarverk sem er einstaklega fagmannlegt og djúpt nýstárlegt. Þetta hönnunarverk sem vann A' Design Award í silfri er mjög athyglisverð, dáð uppfinning sem gagnast og færir mörk listar, vísinda, hönnunar og tækni fram á við. Afterimages Tímariti er mjög öfunduð sköpun sem vekur langanir, færir jákvæðar tilfinningar og kveikir undrun og aðdáun.

Unique Properties: Bigger format, rough high quality paper from the 'csm' collection, dry-stamping technique, the printing color (Pantone) applied to the cover corresponds to the topic of each issue. The magazine is richly illustrated, filled with high-quality photos, and in this respect it resembles life style magazines. It is the first printed magazine published by the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and it is available not only for students and teaches, it is distributed nationwide.

Design Challenge: The challenge was to create a design of the magazine, on the one hand, referring to the avant-garde tradition, and on the other, creating its modern, fresh version. It was a challenge to reach interested recipients, create a platform and a community around the magazine and create a magazine with premium design, content and paper on a limited budget and with a small team.
Research: The artistic and scientific, thematic magazine Powidoki (Afterimages) is published by the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz (Poland). The periodical is devoted to significant artistic and scientific events. It contains critical texts about art and design as well as interviews with prominent figures of the world of culture and higher education from Poland and abroad.
Inspiration: The inspiration of the project was the heritage of the Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts Lodz and their great artists: Strzeminski, Kobro, Hiller, the avangarde, which was established over one hundred years ago. An afterimage is an image that continues to appear in the eyes after a period of exposure to the original image. Our brain produces it when we stare at something for a long time. This image is not as obvious as it seems at first glance. It is blurred and not clear.
Project Duration: The first issue of the magazine was created and published in 2019. By mid-2021 it has been published five issues of 'Afterimages' (two issues per year). Place of the creation of the magazine: Lodz, Poland.
Operation Flow: Interaction with the magazine: high quality print and paper, stamping can be felt under your finger, qr codes.
