About The Ray Nisti
Bókartexti: Nistið Geislinn er innblásið af sólargeisla sem brýst í gegnum skýin á skýjuðum degi. Grunnlitur nælunnar er dökkur, þar sem verkið notar svartrhódíumhúðaðan málm og svartan demant. Björtum eðalsteinum er blandað saman við dökkan grunninn til að lýsa upp verkið í heild. Perlurnar gefa mjúkan bjarma, á meðan demantarnir bæta við glitri við hlið dökka málmsins. Nælan var þróuð sem þrívítt stafrænt líkan. Geislinn mælist 50 x 30 x 17 millimetrar.

- Unique Properties
- The base color of the brooch is dark since it's using black rhodium plated metal and a black diamond, but mixing with a bright gemstones brightens up the entire piece.

- Design Challenge
- The most challenging part of this piece was transforming the dark image into bright object, still containing the dark element.
- Research
- My research began first by observing the cloudy day and capture the moment of the ray that comes out from the cloud. After I understood the shape and movement of the light, I then researched how to incorporate and design a piece that is fine, and balanced. I researched everything using online resources.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration of the brooch comes from the ray of sunlight appearing through the clouds on a cloudy day. The luster of the pearls gives and extra soft glow and the sparkle of the diamonds stands out like a ray of sunlight next to dark metal and black diamonds.
- Project Duration
- The project was designed and completed in June 2022 in Milan, Italy
