Leding Bespoke è uno spazio commerciale progettato per una sartoria maschile su misura a Shaoxing, in Cina. L'ingresso principale si trova al secondo piano ed è raggiungibile tramite una scala incorniciata da vetro stratificato blu. Al centro dello spazio si erge una scultura denominata Time Flow, composta da 698 cubi mobili di 100 millimetri ciascuno. I percorsi si sviluppano attorno a Time Flow, con aree dedicate alla presa delle misure, al taglio e alla cucitura. Le finiture comprendono piastrelle bianche lucide, pittura bianca materica, metallo nero opaco e terrazzo bianco. Vecchi strumenti di lavoro e manichini stampati in 3D evocano il processo sartoriale artigianale.

As time goes by, suits are gradually shaped from a piece of fabric.
The movable cubes "Time Flow" expresses this wonderful regard.
Body measurement and cutting.
The function of space is to arrange the circulation around the "Time Flow", setting up a space for sewing and tailoring.
The long terrazzo table in VIP lounge is connecting the space from inside to outside, which emphases the geometric structure language of the whole space.

Tecnologia di Produzione: MATERIALS:
Floor: Polished white tile , hand lay-up at the site.
Wall: Textured white paint & Blue paint plate with baking finished & Grey textured wallpaper.
Ceiling:Textured white paint & Black Matte Mental by welding and cutting.
Lighting: LED Strip Light, Spot light and track spot lights.
Staircase: Black Matte Mental by welding and cutting.
Other features: Blue laminated glass & Yellow mirror metal plate & Blue veneer & White terrazzo & 3D printed portrait and props.
Sfida Progettuale: The main entrance of Leding Bespoke is on the second floor, and the only way is through the stairs enter space. How to combine the entrance and the staircase was a big challenge. Therefore, the designer applied blue laminated glass at the side of stairs, and placed lots of cubes around it, makes the little cubes growing in a big blue glass cube lively. Meanwhile, it is like coming out of a blue block when consumers enter the space, which is an interesting invitation for the guests.
Ricerca: A narrative space through objects designer found in the process of custom-made suit, and also telling the precision of measuring bodies. So they had a specific research on its process and visit suit studio, understand raw materials and talk with tailors. The designer narrating space through details. For instance, shaping a readable space by illustrations and old tools. Application of the different scales of "body" element, and design a set of movable cubes express "time flow" poetically in the space.
Ispirazione: "Traces are invisible. They perceive the flow of time through objects." -Greater Dog.
It was fascinated to see different fabrics, plate making, tailoring, even old sewing machines and ironing tools, and these objects have inspired designers.
So designers brought the rough, primitive, fundamental and forgotten objects back to the modern life. Consequently, It is not just only a retail space sells a high quality suits in a fashionable way, but also evokes the memory of the process of hand made era.
Durata del Progetto: The project started in October 2018 in Shaoxing, China and finished in August 2019 in Shaoxing, China.
Flusso Operativo: In the whole design process we normally have four design phases to complete one project, which includes conceptual design phase, schematic design phase, construction drawing phase, construction phase. We work on each phase to support this project until its finish perfectly.
