About Nudibranch Hotel e resort
Nudibranch è un hotel e resort situato sull'isola di Nanji, nella provincia di Zhejiang, in Cina. Il progetto si estende su 31.000 metri quadrati e trae ispirazione dalle creature marine presenti intorno all'isola, come il nudibranchio e altri molluschi. L'edificio è sollevato su gambe morbide che collegano il suolo a ristoranti, bar, una spa e una piscina. L'area pubblica ricorda uno spazio sospeso al di sopra della sabbia. Il terreno sabbioso si prolunga all'interno dell'hotel e dà forma a un'area gioco all'aperto immersa nell'ombra. Tecnologie eco-compatibili riducono l'impatto ambientale.

- The building blends the boundaries between the building and the landscape by its organic form and flexible connectivity; it sits on the site like a nudibranch crouching on the peaceful bay. Many Eco-friendly technologies have been installed to minimize the environment impact.

- Inspiration
- The design is inspired by sea creatures, which the island is famous for, such as nudibranch and other shellfish. This “mollusk” lifts itself by its soft legs and stretches its tentacles to explore different directions.The public part resembles a floating space above the sand. The sandy ground blends into the hotel to become an outdoor playground in the shadow cast by the building above. The legs connect the ground to restaurants and bars, and the SPA and swimming pool to to the public space.
