About Veizla Office Scrivania
La scrivania Veizla Office è progettata per adattarsi alla crescente esigenza di scrivanie compatte regolabili in altezza per l'home office. La maggior parte di ciò che è disponibile sul mercato sono semplici telai ad H in metallo, che sono funzionali ma non molto attraenti come complementi d'arredo per la casa. La scrivania Veizla, ha attuatori a controllo elettronico incorporati, ha due cassetti da scrivania e passacavi a cui si può accedere dall'alto e anche dal basso. La scrivania è realizzata in legno massello sostenibile, con parti in acciaio per resistenza e stabilità.

- Unique Properties
- The Veizla office desk is designed to accommodate the growing need for height adjustable compact home office desks, making it an attractive piece of furniture in the process. The Veizla desk, other than being height adjustable has desktop drawers built in and cable management, besides having been made from sustainable solid wood.

- Production Technology
- The Veizla Office Desk is currently made to order, using Linak actuator technology incorporated into a invisible steel frame cladded with solid oak details. The desk top is also mounted with a custom made steel frame to connect with the actuators. The 20mm solid wood desk top has incorporated pocket for cable management, also accessible from below, and strong metal top drawers.
- Design Challenge
- The challenging part of the design was to find the most aesthetic way of incorporating the actuators into the design. Secondly to make the entire construction rigid and strong enough to stop any flexing and subsequent damage to the wood parts.
- Research
- To ensure the aesthetics were desirable, as part of the research we built a small scaled model, which we could refine as we tested and produced parts for the finished product.
- Inspiration
- Looking at the market for height adjustable home office desks it is evident that they are all made with a simple H-frame in steel or aluminium and a relatively cheap desk top, not the most attractive when it comes to home furnishing. There has in recent years been a surge in the need for a home office, many workers have now the option of working from home at least part time, so it was logical to expand the Veizla range to include a complimentary office desk.
- Project Duration
- This design project was begun in summer of 2020 and prototype/first finished product was completed by the end of 2020.
- Operation Flow
- The height adjustment feature of the Veizla Office Desk is very simply operated with an electronic lever button mounted under the desk top and easily reached while standing/sitting in front of desk. The cable management compartment is accessible both from the top through the cable letterbox and from the bottom through a small trap door.
