Il Pausa House è una residenza privata costruita a Giacarta, in Indonesia. Il progetto impiega un sistema parametrico per definire sia la geometria sia la struttura. Interventi scultorei sulla facciata generano una tensione tra elementi contrastanti, mentre l'interno propone transizioni fluide tra gli spazi in direzione orizzontale e verticale. Dimensioni e posizione delle aperture di facciata seguono un accurato studio solare, gli assi visivi e l'altezza degli occupanti, così che la luce naturale si diffonda in modo uniforme all'interno. - The geometric exploration of the Il Pausa morphology aimed to maximize the client's lifestyle, a series of calculated geometric and sculpture like interventions on the facade exploits the tension between conflicting elements. In contracts to the internal areas, which are designed to have greater fluidity in transition between the spaces in both the horizontal as well as the vertical elements. Il Pausa is designed with the intention to welcome any visitors at the very entrance.

- One significant features that defines the design of the project is the application of a parametric based system for the geometry and the structure. The geometry is optimized to the sunlight and reflection that goes uniformly inside the house. The approach was driven through a detailed solar analysis on the structure, with great attentiveness given to the eastern and western facades. The distribution of the facade's openings were heavily contingent on view axes, occupant height, and the uniform distribution of natural light. Il Pausa House is realized after a long study and construction phases that took more than 6 years to complete

- The client's requirements and requisite were very specific and detailed, the primary difficulty was to address the client's request to live in a home that is visually stunning and unique, yet simultaneously maintain the conventional cultural requirements local home. The other challenge arose from the complicated yet very specific flow of activities required within the entire project; where the house serves as a base for the client's profession without hindering in the slightest the day to day residential activities of the home's occupants.

- The Il Pausa House is one of the residential units in Indonesia to address the challenge in construction and design. The Il Pausa House takes a completely Avant the house addresses issue at a local scale. One of the first residential units to address the challenge in construction and design. The interplay between function, form, light, environmental performance, social response and local assimilation has transformed what is usually considered to be a mundane residential dwelling, to one that has pushed the boundaries of construction and design evolving into an architectural landmark that has become unique to the fabric of the city

- An idea is highly contagious; plant the smallest seed of one and it can grow and multiply into reality. We always been fascinated with the idea of combining the purest and most elementary architectural knowledge with an unorthodox approach to design. The idea of exploring the transition between these two realms excites us tremendously. The house was designed with this particular mindset; A single and specific design approach that unites various psychological elements allowing us to dream of

- The project started in February 2016 and finished in February 2022 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

- The project is one single architecture residence for a client who needs a house that structurally challenging, visually stunning while maintaining a highly efficient working machine as a house. The final result according to the client is a unique house where they are proud and happy to have because it brings happiness to the family and their productivity significantly improved
