About Ceremony Sgabello senza schienale
Ceremony è uno sgabello senza schienale progettato per sedersi, bere il tè e conversare. La struttura è realizzata in noce e assemblata con i tradizionali incastri cinesi a tenone e mortasa. La costruzione riduce la quantità di materiale impiegato, mantenendo al contempo la seduta stabile e confortevole nell'uso. La superficie della seduta e le gambe sono tagliate mediante lavorazione a controllo numerico e successivamente rifinite con levigatura manuale. La seduta viene consegnata per essere assemblata dall'utente. La forma richiama la cultura rituale cinese, nella quale il sedersi è inteso come un atto di cortesia. La seduta misura 400 mm di larghezza, 320 mm di profondità e 430 mm di altezza.

- This is the design of a seat. Through structural innovation, this seat reduces the application of materials, and has a more stable and comfortable use experience. The form language of the seat has more charm characteristics of oriental culture.

- Production Technology
- Use Chinese (tenon and mortise joint) technology to connect the whole. The bench surface and leg are carved by CNC digital control machine in the first step, and then fine tuned by manual polishing. The material is walnut or black walnut, and the digital production adopts 3D virtual model.

- Research
- This is the design of a seat. The inspiration for the design comes from China's etiquette and civilization. The Book of Rites - The Moon Order has more meaning of treating each other with courtesy. The concept of the chair was based on important aspects of a good design, such as comfort, quality, and sustainable values. Nowadays a product needs to represent more than ever these key elements. This concept makes this chair unique along with its minimalist lines.
- Inspiration
- This seat is inspired by Chinese ritual, which has appeared in oracle bone inscriptions and early inscriptions on gold. In the Book of Rites, Yueling has more meaning of treating each other with courtesy. The behavior of sitting is also a kind of etiquette, and the design semantics of products also follow the etiquette culture and then expand. In the background study, it analyzes the inheritance of the spirit of ritual.

- This project is completely new and unseen until now. Started and finished in Madrid inNovember 2022.
