Self Defense Mechanism è una collezione di abbigliamento maschile concepita per fungere da strato protettivo per chi la indossa. La collezione risponde a un'epoca di sovraccarico informativo, in cui le persone ricevono ogni giorno più messaggi di quanti una singola persona possa assimilare. Le stampe, ispirate alla geometria dei neuroni e delle maglie a rete, suggeriscono un effetto di diffusione e sfocatura, così che il mondo esterno diventa più difficile da percepire e la mente può restare serena. Cotone e rete di nylon sono cuciti insieme per creare una nuova texture che richiama il motivo stampato. I capi seguono le misure standard maschili e possono essere indossati come abbigliamento quotidiano.

Proprietà Uniche: This collection perfectly embody the concept in our daily life. It easily can tell the whole concept from the appearance of the garment. These clothes are aimed to consider as a protective layer for ourselves to stabilize in this world. Avoiding us suffering from this world full of information. Thus, we can clean ourself clear and stay calm.

Tecnologia di Produzione: Using neuron and mesh geometry on prints symbolizes the spread and blur which makes us can't see what the outside world looks like and maintain our mind clear. By sewing cotton and nylon mesh together to create a new texture which is similar to the pattern I design for this collection.
Sfida Progettuale: The hardest part is to create the texture by sewing cotton and nylon mesh together. It's hard to copy the shape of neurons.
Ricerca: It's the idea come up in my mind, the concept start from the imagination of me hiding in my own womb and observing this world. The real one hiding inside and the fake one control me to live my life. And It is exactly how the Augment Reality works. So in my initially research, it fulls of the image of AR(hiding in womb), neurons (feeling), electricity (neurotransmission).
Ispirazione: In the era of information explosions, humans are stimulated by various environments. The messages that make us receive in one day actually are far more than one person could undertake. Consequently, these clothes are aimed to consider as a protective layer for ourselves to stabilize in this world. Durata del Progetto: The project started in September 2021 in Taipei and finished in March 2022 also in Taipei, made as my graduate project which also the last project before I graduate.
Flusso Operativo: People can wear this collection as normal clothing, but also wear it to anywhere depend on their feeling. As long as you feel great to this collection then that's the reason.
