Artist è un progetto di interior design residenziale per un'abitazione di 120 metri quadrati a Shanghai. La distribuzione degli spazi combina blocchi geometrici con la tecnica del vuoto compositivo, superando la semplice accumulazione di arredi e decorazioni. Le altezze originali dei soffitti sono state mantenute, così il soggiorno e la zona pranzo restano luminosi e ariosi. La luce del sole entra dalle finestre e crea un'atmosfera stratificata. Il piano terra ospita gli ambienti della vita quotidiana e le aree destinate agli ospiti in zone chiaramente definite. Il primo piano utilizza tre tipologie di finestre per bilanciare privacy e apertura verso l'esterno.

The designer breaks away from conventional residential design by combining the geometric blocks freely and using the blank-leaving technique. This approach moves beyond the mere accumulation of furniture and decorations, and pays much attention to the fusion of shapes and colors, which crests a spiritual ambiance.

The designer boldly employs spatial transformations and delicate color coordination to create a living space that is both modern and comfortable.

Flusso Operativo: In terms of spatial layout, the designer skillfully retained certain high-ceiling areas, which makes the living room and dining spaces to be bright and expansive. Sunlight scatters through the windows, creating a transparent yet layered atmosphere. The first floor serves as the main area for daily living and hosting guests, with clearly defined and fluid functional zones. The blend of solid and void design techniques makes the space more dynamic and versatile. The second floor features three different types of window designs, enhancing the space's interactivity while ensuring a perfect balance between privacy and openness.
