Regarding Pure White Elegance Residential Interior Design

Pure White Elegance is a residential interior design for a 182 square meter home in Taipei. The design follows the owner's taste for simplicity and elegance. Natural materials such as hardwood and stone are used in large quantities to create an unadorned and sleek feel. Large French windows and a balcony bring sunlight and city views indoors. A small work area is built along a side table between the living room and the dining room. A grille ceiling guides the flow of movement. The master bedroom has a wooden floor and upholstered walls.

About Iuan Kai Fang

Director, K.E.A Design Consultants Inc. Director, Da Yue Construction Inc. Director Fang was born in a construction family and loved painting since he was little. Now he has worked in the art and design field over 20 years and is the chief designer in the company. Director Fang has degree in stage design/ lighting design/ Interior Design. He’s currently the only designer who has these three different background in Taiwan, and he often use a mélange of those three background knowledge to design cases. Director Fang travelled at least one month a year, to explore the interaction between spaces, architecture and the people.

Unique Properties: Our designer specializes in construction a container for life, into which its dwellers thrust blooming flowers, filling it with profuse life experience like ever-running water that bears witness to the florescence and radiance. In keeping with the owner's taste for simplicity and elegance, the overall design features modernity, combining diverse natural materials, such as hardwood and stone, in large quantities, thereby creating an unadorned but sleek feel.
Inspiration: Through the interplay of form, color and material, as well as a deliberate use of the void and a simple design, the owner's low-profile affluence and subdued luxury are accentuated, while leaving room for free imagination and application, so that Pure White, Elegance can have a well-deserved life of its own.
Challenge: Cleverly constructed along a side table in between the living room and the dining room is a small working section. The open design highlights visual vastness, shaping a new form of spatial communication. The grille ceiling serves to steer the flow, while the warm color tone in the pubic area extends by means of plentiful wooden materials. The master bedroom in the back enjoys great privacy, with its wooden floor and upholstered walls presenting a delicate texture. As for the girl’s and the parents' rooms, metal shelves are employed for a sense of openwork transparency, creating a visual effect of vastness in a limited space.
