About Together Better Mobile Application
Together Better is a mobile application designed to improve leisure outings with friends. Plans can be made, meeting points can be set, and navigation to a rendezvous is offered within one application, so users do not need to switch between several separate applications. Four sections organize the experience: Play, Location, Plan and Information. Shared moments and past outings can also be browsed. The visual design uses the Neomorphism style, also called Soft User Interface, to reduce the digital feeling of information about real places.

Design Details
- Unique Properties
- The project provides a better play experience with friends for users by an App. Make play plans, navigate to meetings, share the mood of play, and can be done through this app without switching back and forth between several apps. Because the content of this app is information about the physical world, including attractions, maps, etc. So, Neomorphism(Soft UI) style is used to reduce the digital sense in the visual design.
- Inspiration
- My inspiration for this project comes from the experience of my friends coming to my city to play. We use WhatsApp to talk, map to navigate, TripAdvisor to check the attractions, and notes to record our plans. It is troublesome. So I want to design an App to improve this problem.
- Research
- Before beginning the design, we interviewed 70 people to understand the problems for them during play with friends. Then, we researched market observation and analyze the applications that customers installed on their phones. At last, we had completed the design of visual and interactive logic under various UX Research methodologies.
- Challenge
- The most challenging and creative challenge is how to let users deal with complicated things in a natural and simple way.
- Realization and Technology
- The user interface of this App was designed in Sketch, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Operation and Interaction
- In "Play" page, users can browse their play dates on different dates, chat with friends, check plan and the weather by a simple tap on the screen. In "Location" page, users can set a rendezvous and navigate to it. In "Plan" page, users can make their play plan. In "Information" page, users can browse the moments they shared and the histories.
- Project Duration and Location
- The project started in September 2019 in HangZhou and finished in April 2020 in HangZhou.
