Regarding The Z Shaped Creation Residential Building
The Z Shaped Creation is a bioclimatic residential building in Fasoula, Cyprus. The white Z shaped form defines the morphology of the building. The interior spaces are arranged as volumes placed into the cavities of the white form. The design follows simple geometries in a minimalist approach, with exposed concrete, large wooden surfaces and a neutral white color. The house covers 230 square meters on three levels, one basement and two floors above. The basement is set into the slope, holds the parking spaces and is built with stone masonry.

Design Details
- Unique Properties
- A bioclimatic house in Fasoula, where the creation of a white Z shaped form, characterizes the morphology of the building. The spaces were translated in volumes which created a composition that was placed into the cavities of this white form. The design is moved by simple geometries touching the modern minimalistic trends, which led to the use of exposed concrete, large wooden surfaces and the use of the neutral white color.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration that triggered the design of this bioclimatic solar house in Fasoula, Cyprus, was the will to create a white Z shaped form, that was going to characterize the morphology of the building.
- Research
- Through our design, we wanted to investigate whether the integration of bioclimatic methods into the development of the design, could result a harmonious, functional composition.
- Challenge
- The integration of bioclimatic methods into the development of the design, combined with the need of an operational building, was the main creative challenge of our design.

- Concrete based structural system.
- Operation and Interaction
- A minimalistic three-level house, placed in a slope, with the parking spaces made in the earth, as a basement. This was built with stone masonry, willing to highlight the relationship between the building and the environment and to create a solid morphological base for the development of the design, which is moved by simple geometries touching the modern minimalist trends.

- The design started in 2017, and the construction in 2019. The project was completed in 2020.
