The yacht features a rigid sprayhood for more protection in the cockpit when sailing, and a hybrid propulsion system has been developed for the yacht, firstly to reduce emission and secondly that the yacht can enter also into environmentally protected areas.

Design Details
- Unique Properties
- The yacht was designed for a very experienced owner, who wants to go with the yacht to every place on the earth. In other words, the yacht is designed for a temperature range from -15° C to 40° C, and will sail from the Mediterranean sea, over the Atlantic up north, even up that Alaska. A lot of development went into the seaworthiness of the yacht, and special care has been taken that the crew is well-protected, either outside in the cockpit, as well inside from the cold temperatures which the yacht will face during her journeys. For this the yacht features a special rigid sprayhood.
- Inspiration
- The sea is the last bit on earth where you can experience real freedom, was the main idea which has been followed on this design. Where the exterior styling should reflect in a way the rough and harsh environment which will experience the yacht in its operational life, yet it should be elegant and timeless with well- balanced proportions, but really functional. On the other hand the interior should give you the warmness and cosiness and a feeling of protection when you are going in the areas where you will have to face rough conditions.
- Research
- - 10 different hull shapes were studied to optimise the boat for high stability and good seaworthiness - a detailed weight estimate was made, from which areas of weight savings could have been established and further weight reduction was achieved by using carbon in the hull, deck and structures.
- Challenge
- The fact that the yacht will be operated by temperatures below zero, and icing could therefore be an issue. This has imposed certain design limits which had to be solved in the overall aesthetics.
- Realization and Technology
- Hybrid Glass/Carbon-sandwich construction, carbon mast, rod rigging, CNC milled high strength steel fin Lifting keel
- Operation and Interaction
- The cockpit is designed with a well-protected area, especially for sailing long offshore passages during night. The navigation area is located close to the companionway in order that the watch captain is quickly at the steering area and can interfere if needed. the yacht can be steered also from the navigation area with a joystick. All winches for the sail control are grouped beside or in front of the steering wheels, in order that the helmsman can sail the yacht alone from the steering area once the sails are hoisted. As the owner will stay on board for long periods, the yacht features also an office area where he can do his day to day business.
- Project Duration and Location
- The concept design started in summer 2019, preliminary design was finalised 2022, and the project is now ready for building. The boat yard will be chosen by the owner before May 2023

- Length over all 23.100m / Beam max 5.850m / Displacement ca.39.000kg @ measurement trim / draft 4.200 - 2.600 m with lifting keel / sail area 299.1m2 (upwind)
