More About Stone Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Stone is an upright vacuum cleaner designed for small homes. Stone is compact and battery powered, so little storage space is needed. The body measures 22.5 by 13 by 33 centimetres and weighs 1525 grams without accessories. With the main tube and brush, the height reaches 114 centimetres and the weight is 2686 grams. The motor power is 300 watts. An ergonomic grip and a simple control panel make cleaning easy. The number of parts is reduced and plastic parts are coloured with masterbatch, which lowers the cost. Production takes place in Turkiye.

HSVO, originally founded as the Fakir Hausgerate Industrial Design team in 2012, has evolved into an Istanbul-based design studio by 2022. Now is the age of upright vacuum cleaners and Stone is a striking example in this field. Its ergonomic grip and panel will provide ease of use and will help you easily clean your home.
- Inspiration
- By considering the Fakir Hausgerate brand identity,Stone is designed as the sub-segment of the vacuum cleaner family. It is inspired by the brand's main product, Bolt. Reducing the number of pieces and using plastic parts as masterbatch, make the product more affordable. Stone design with Bolt lines still looks as aggressive and powerful as Bolt.
- Research
- Derived from the Fakir Hausgerate brand identity, Stone is positioned as a lower-tier offering within the vacuum cleaner family, drawing inspiration from the flagship product, Bolt. By reducing component count and utilizing masterbatch for plastic parts, Stone achieves a more budget-friendly price point while retaining the bold and powerful aesthetics reminiscent of Bolt.

- In this project aimed at supporting local manufacturing capabilities, there are creative and research challenges to address. Designing for compatibility with domestically produced batteries and battery management systems requires innovative solutions, along with overcoming obstacles related to supply chain and technology transfer.
