Cloud 椅子について

Cloudは、日本の沖縄本島の海岸線に見えた雨のシャワーから着想を得た椅子です。座面は、ポリウレタンフォームにポリエステル繊維を針で刺し込むことで生み出され、柔らかな雲のような表情をつくり出しています。高めの座面は、腰掛けた人に浮遊感を与えます。鏡面仕上げのステンレススチールの脚と台座は、降り注ぐ雨を表現した細い丸棒で構成されています。丸棒の本数、長さ、径は入念に検討されました。Cloudは、ステンレススチール、ポリエステル繊維、木材、ポリウレタンフォームを用いて手作業で制作されています。

独自の特性: This is a cloud-like chair that is raining.
The seating surface enables a cloud-like expression by piercing polyester fiber into the polyurethane foam with a needle.
A high seat gives the seated person a floating.
In addition, the mirror-like stainless steel legs and pedestal made it possible to express the rain.

A design inspired by nature will resonate with various people.
I live on Okinawa Island south of Japan.
One day, I saw a moving cloud while it rained on the coast.
The idea of this chair came up from the scenery at that time.
プロジェクト期間: The project started in April 2019 and ended in October 2019.
オペレーションフロー: I think there are many people who have imagined when they were children that they could sit on clouds.
I realized that imagination.
