About Irises リング
「アイリス」は、フィンセント・ファン・ゴッホの絵画に着想を得たダブルリングです。この絵画には、剣のような細長い葉を持つ青い花々が描かれています。リングでは、ブルーサファイアとロンドントパーズ、スカイトパーズが花を表現し、彫刻的に造形されたゴールドが風に揺れる葉を形づくっています。18カラットゴールドを用いて手作業で制作され、マットな仕上げと爪留めのセッティングが施されています。軽やかで着け心地の良い作品です。自然と絵画がもつ色彩とかたちを、身に着けられるオブジェへと昇華させることを意図しています。

- Unique Properties
- Van Gogh’s irises have blue flowers with sword shaped leaves that are long and laminar. The flowers are represented in this double ring by sapphires and topazes while the sculptured gold conveys the leaves in their movement. The double ring is both comfortable and stunning!

Handmade, matte finish and prong setting - Design Challenge
- During the search for the idealized materials, some types of gemstones were not located and some cut formats were unavailable. The acquisition of gemstones in other formats and types was carried out and a new design was performed adapting to the materials found.
- Research
- After extensive research on Van Gogh's paintings (there are almost 2000 works), the painting was chosen that would be the inspiration for the design. Then research was carried out on the painted tree (understanding of what the painter saw to be inspired). Realized the ideal design of the piece and choice of the ideal materials for execution.
