Monolithic House プライベートヴィラについて

モノリシック・ハウスは、ジェッダに建つプライベートヴィラである。建物は3つの主要なマッスで構成され、それらをずらして配置することで外部の中庭を生み出し、伝統的なアラブ住宅の構成を踏襲している。外皮にはマシュラビーヤから着想を得たサウジアラビアの古典的な文様をもつ半透過スクリーンを用いた。電動開閉システムが日射を調整し、南面に日除けとプライバシーをもたらすとともに、自然換気を可能にしている。構造はコンクリート造で、ホーニング仕上げのトラバーチン、黒染めスチール、スタッコ、ウォールナット材で仕上げられている。家族用、来客用、サービス用にそれぞれ独立した出入口が設けられている。

独自の特性: Conceptual idea was to explore the architecture relation between indoor and outdoor spaces, through a composition of three main masses that were shifted to create external courts inspired from Arabic traditional houses. The house envelope was designed using semi-transparent screens, with old Saudi pattern that was inspired by (Mashrabiya), that have been used to give a dynamic visual interaction, guaranteeing privacy and shading on the south facade, and regulating the entry of sunlight by motorized openable system, while always allowing natural ventilation.

デザインの課題: -To create a quality living experience and redefine the image of a residential building in Jeddah while maintaining the climate requirements and privacy needs dictated by the Arab culture, were the main design challenges. -The client requested several separate entrances for gender segregation. -Based on the data collection the Architectural design direction is a mixture of Resort/Luxury design with traditional accents using natural materials. -Height limitation, Setbacks & maximum Built up area was dictated by Saudi Architecture Regulations.
