Cloud Mountain Type 書体デザインについて

Cloud Mountain Typeは、張家界の雲霧に包まれた山々と中国古来の山水画に着想を得た書体である。文字の造形は、伝統的な中国の雲と山のイメージをラテンアルファベットの構造と融合させている。各文字は手描きで起こし、デジタル画像ソフトウェアで仕上げており、可変的なサイズで使用できる。ごく近くから見ると細部が前面に出て文字として認識しにくくなるが、それは山の頂からはその山の姿を見ることができないのと同じである。
