Unique Properties
Prisma is a slim, contemporary refrigerator line designed to optimize space without sacrificing capacity. Its crisp geometry and integrated asymmetric handle create a seamless, easy to clean exterior. A full width dispenser and an LED touch interface support intuitive, low effort interaction. Inside, modular bins and tempered glass shelves adapt to changing storage needs, while No Frost cooling and an inverter compressor sustain stable temperatures with reduced noise and energy use.
Dimensions & Packaging
No Frost cooling system; inverter compressor; climate class T; R600a refrigerant. Three planned capacities: 311 L, 271 L, 243 L. Interior includes modular shelves, adjustable door racks, water tank and ice maker. Targeted high energy efficiency and low noise for daily use.

Production Technology
Prisma is manufactured under high quality standards, with a cold rolled steel cabinet and electrostatic paint, insulated with polyurethane foam. It incorporates recycled polystyrene, ABS containers, and tempered glass shelves. Its independent cooling system and Inverter Motor ensure A rated efficiency. It includes an in mold label touch panel, smart sensors, and a sustainable design that guarantees durability, technology, and adaptation to any climate.
Design Challenge
This refrigerator is the result of a deep understanding of the dynamics of Colombian households: compact spaces, diverse habits, and real needs. Each module was conceived as a flexible system integrating design, functionality, and sustainability. The goal: to create a user friendly, efficient experience that transforms everyday routines into something meaningful and connected to the user.
Research
This mixed methods study (qualitative and quantitative) analyzed refrigerator use in Colombian households, focusing on habits, purchase drivers, and perceptions related to design and energy efficiency. The methodology included a qualitative phase (home visits and focus groups across different regions of the country: Northern Zone, Central Zone, Northwestern Zone) and a national survey of 387 households, with the participation of 33 buyers and 11 experts. The results revealed a food waste rate of 7.75%, a strong preference for designs with a digital panel, and high sensitivity to energy savings. The project aims to strengthen business competitiveness and promote food preservation and sustainable design.
Inspiration
Prisma was born from the rhythm of modern life: small homes filled with stories and ever evolving contexts. Each interior space becomes a functional puzzle like a Tetris that embraces the diversity of sizes and moments within households. Its exterior reflects the essence of the brand while evolving with global trends, achieving modernity without losing its connection to Colombian homes.
Project Duration
Prisma originated in April 2024 as part of the company’s renewal of its refrigeration line, responding to the real needs of Colombian households. The initial research shaped the concept in June, which was refined in July and finalized in December. In February 2025, the first prototype with real 1:1 materials and finishes was developed to validate it with end users. User feedback was incorporated, adjustments were made to the concept, and final specifications were released for development and its upcoming launch in 2026.
Operation Flow
The digital panel redefines interaction with the refrigerator by blending innovation, elegance, and warmth. Inspired by the purity of prism light, its 3D icons evoke the sophistication of an LED screen, while the soft edges and chrome finishes add distinction. The graphic application screen printed on the door racks, trays, bottom cover, and internal components not only creates high impact visual contrasts but also guides the user toward optimal storage, promoting better preservation of each item. The light gray tone blends with the materials, creating harmony and elevating the design into a unique visual experience.
