About Relax Stand スマートフォンスタンド

Relax Standは、就寝前の夜の時間に使うことを想定して designed されたスマートフォンスタンドです——暖炉とホッキョクグマの2種類が制作されました。スタンドにスマートフォンを置き、専用の映像を再生します。暖炉バージョンでは炎が映し出され、ホッキョクグマバージョンでは波の音が組み合わされます。スタンドと画面が一体となって静かな情景を生み出し、ユーザーがリラックスし、スマートフォンを手から離すきっかけをつくります。各スタンドは透明アクリルを用い、3Dプリンティングによって製作されています。本デザインは、3Dプリンティングの日常的な活用の可能性を示すことも目指しています。

Design Challenge: Difficult problem: How to set up a smartphone. The situation that you want to watch for a long time.
Solution: Reproduced the scene you want to watch. I used dolls and animal motifs for that.
Research: The Japanese 3D printing market is limited. 1. Aircraft parts 2. Medical 3. Auto parts 4. Mold Challenge: Lack of daily life items used by ordinary people. To revitalize the Japanese 3D printing market.
Inspiration: In Japan, the number of smartphone dependents is increasing.
There are many children in particular.
They can't let go of their smartphone.
Keep watching your smartphone screen until you go to bed.
It is more likely to cause sleep disorders.

I thought of an idea that I wanted to let go of my smartphone.
Project Duration: This project started in Tokyo in 2018, Exhibited at DESIGN TOKYO in the spring of 2019.
Operation Flow: Use scene: Night. Before sleeping. Useful in bed.
[Fireplace]: People relax when they see the flame.
[Shirokuma]: The sound of waves will relax.
