About Hotaru Kursi Maca
Hotaru minangka kursi maca kang dilengkapi lampu sing nyawiji. Sanggan lampu uga dadi sandaran gegere, lan sorot lampune tiba ing tangane wong sing lungguh. Lampune bakal nyala lan mati dhewe ing panggonan sing peteng nalika ana wong sing cedhak. Posisi lampune bisa diatur mundur-maju. Hotaru dirakit saka papat bagean, yaiku dhudhukan, sikil, sanggan, lan unit lampu, tanpa nganggo perangan logam. Kayu lapis (plywood) sing dilaminasi ing dhudhukan dijarke katon kanthi wutuh kanggo nuduhake kagayeng lan kasetyan alami kayune. Yen dilenggahake ing sandhing paturon, Hotaru uga bisa dienggo minangka meja cilik lan lampu turu. Rancangan iki cocog kanggo omah-omah kang ora patiya jembar papane.

- Unique Properties
- When we sit in a chair, it illuminates our hands brightly. The light stand acts as a backrest. It's a chair for reading, but it can also be used as a side table and lighting by placing it on the bedside.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- White, width 380mm, height 380mm, depth 1890mm
Black, width 350mm, height 350mm, depth1790mm - Tags
- Chair, lighting, furniture, reading, prefabricated
- Production Technology
- By showing the laminated plywood on the seat, we left the warmth of the wood. It can be assembled without using metal fittings
- Design Challenge
- I had a hard time deciding the angle of my legs. Since the overall balance changes depending on the angle, I adjusted it little by little with the mockup.
- Research
- Japanese houses have small floor plans and little space for furniture, so I researched furniture to put in a small space. Since chairs take up space in furniture, it was a new proposal by giving the backrest multiple functions of lighting.
- Inspiration
- Due to the epidemic of the new coronavirus, the amount of time spent at home has increased. I designed a chair with integrated lighting for reading books in order to enrich my time alone. This work was inspired by performers who were spotlighted on stage. Because it was similar to reading a book with a light in a dark room. It turns on and off in the dark in response to people. The blinking appearance looks like a firefly that emits a fantastic and gentle light. I named it Hotaru in Japanese.
- Project Duration
- The Lamp stool was designed in Okinawa in 2022.
- Operation Flow
- This chair is used by assembling four parts: seat, feet, stand, and lighting. The position of the lighting can be adjusted back and forth.
